Indian Police Service entrance exam is conducted by the union public service commission under the civil services examination every year once.There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.
Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.This exam not require any kind of percentage marks in graduation degree . But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate. In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years. The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years. Also you must be citizen of India. Preliminary Exam Pattern:- Pattern for Mains Exam:- Physical Requirements : I have listed here the physical criteria if you have Qualify in written exam then they arrange the physical test , so beware about the requirement also . IPS stands for Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.
The eligible candidate wishing to join IPS, Civil Service Exam, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness. Besides this the candidate should have minimum physical requirement such as:- The Height of the General/OBC candidate should be 165cm for Male and for Female 150cm while SC/ST candidate Male-160cm and for Female-145cm. The Chest should be 84cm for Male and 79cm for Female candidate expandable to 5cm in both the cases. The selection is through two phases of written exam followed by Personal Interview. The candidate applying for IPS Civil Service exam is called for a Preliminary Exam called as CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test) and the candidate selected out of it is called for Civil Service Main Exam and the final selection is through personal interview out of the candidate selected from Main Exam. Here I have mentioned below the complete details of the Civil Services exams which are conducted for the posts of an IAS,IPS,etc.
The CIVIL SERVICES exams are conducted in three phases. # The Preliminary Exams. # The Mains Exams. # The Interviews. -The preliminary exams are conducted in May.It is followed by the Mains exams which are conducted in October-November.Only candidates who qualify the preliminary exams proceed to the mains. -The COMPLETE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for the exams are mentioned below :: 01. IPS is Indian Police Services and IPS officers are recruited through Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC.
If you are 10+2 pass then you can not apply for Civil Services Examination. Eligibility Criteria for Civil Services Examination: -Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University. -Must be an Indian Citizen -Age should be between 21 to 30 years if you are General Category candidate.There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category. Selection Criteria: The IPS Officers are selected on the basis of performance in the following stages: -CSAT -Mains -Interview -Medical Examination You must have the required physical fitness then only you will be eligible for IPS cadre.
