The software developer's job is concerned with facets of the software development process.
The courses for becoming a software developer are Engineering or B.Sc Computer Science or BCA. The specific skills required are java, .NET, c/c++, cobol, php, ruby, xml etc.

there is not much difference between the two jobs,
in software development job you have to develop an software for the particular job,were as software engineer makes the use of these software to complete various jobs,

Hey Friend, there is no difference in this jobs. actually the software engineers does the work of software development and maintenance. you can be a good software engineer after pursuing B Tech/B.E in Information Technology.

And if you dont want to be a engineer , still want to be a software professional then you can do bcs and then mca to become good software professional

The salary of software engineer is more then the normal software professional who is holding a graduation in bcs or bsc. the degree matters here and automatically the post defers.

for getting job in software company,graduation degree is required.

but if you have degree in engineering field,specifically if (computer engg,IT,ECE) then your post and promotion will grow very fast.

Difference Between Software Development and Software Engineering

Weather software Developer or Software Engineer, both are Programmers.

Former one being less supirior then later one.

Software Engineers are generally more Qualified then Software Developers. That doesn't mean that 3 years software engineering offered by NIIT, Brainware etc. are better one. They are just Job oriented course which can not be compared either of B.Tech (Software engineering) or BCA/MCA, so dont get confused.

Software Engineers works is like an "Architech" that is responsible for Planing and designing and building the concept of the Project, while the Software developers are like Engineers, technichian involved in trasforming the project concept into a complete piece of work.

Mr. Portman wills, Renowned Facebook and Twitter Application Engineer, has explained well the difference of both in terms of type of industry involve.

Software Developer = we are a tech-savvy, IT product or services company and need someone to work on internal or back-end tools; for example a consulting company

Software Engineer = we are a software company and need someone to work on one of our products; for example Adobe or Microsoft.



Salary Matter: Here also Software Engineers are get well paid, I am not saying that Developer dont get paid, but generally lesser then Engineers. Generally Developers get valued as much as they gain Knowledge or get Qualified. For example- BCA + MCA graduate froma good institute will get slightly good then B.sc + MCA. Where as Engineers pay will get increasing with there experiance.

Hi, No. Not at all right that Software Engineer and Software developer are different. Software Engineer is the designation given while the software developer is the internal process that particular person is doing.

There are various processes in software manufacturing like Software development, testing, Maintainance etc. The first process is estimation and planning. Next is development, next testing, next user acceptance testing and so on. These are processes in software manufacturing.

If the person is into core development, that is coding, then he is considered developer.
NOTE: All the above processes are done by Software Engineers based on their seniority except testing, done by test Engineers.

there are some entrance exam for enter in the engineering college. yo have to fight these entrance exam and have to pass these exams.

so you have to make a very good rank to take the best college in india, if you got good rank then you can go for the IIT college. some IIT college are:-

Difference between a Software Developer and Implementation enginner?? Actually i got a job in a IT company as Implementation engineer in Bank domain... But i'm really confused about the job role...

first master of computer application (m.c.a) is a 3 year course and b.e is a 4 year course.
m.c.a is a post graduation course in computer. application and b.e is a graduation course in computer science.
after complete of b.e you can go for higher studies namely mba/ m.tech.
both course provide good softwere skills
