Do we have to give general GRE as well as the subjective GRE?


do we have to give general gre as well as subjective gre.. plzz help im totally confused

The subjective test is basically for those who plan to pursue doctoral level courses. There are some institutes which accept this score in the masters level also. Basically this test to assess you level of subject knowledge. Some of the institutes also assess the section wise score to know your strong and weak areas. The test is basically for candidates who are planning to specialise in any of the eight areas i.e. Literature, psychology, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, mathematics, computer science or physics.

as i have not yet decided from which institute i have to do my phd .. but im preparing for it to give by april.. so we need to give only subjective gre ???? and this yr only i have completed my m-tech biotechnology.. thats y im little bit confused whether to give subjective gre or general gre.. ???? but im looking to do im phd either from canada, usa or Australia..

thanks imira for ur help.. so i dont have to give general gre?????. as of i am a m-tech biotechnologist i want to do my phd so i need to give only subjective gre .. Am I right??????? and according to me im searching universities only in Australia, canada and US.
