Dear Sir/ Madam. My daughter's DOB is 01.01.2014, is she eligible to appear in 10th CBSE Exam 2028.

CBSE has not released any notification with respect to age limit qualification.

It is the Directorate of State Education which decides the age limit criteria for appearing in std 10ty board examination.

So, you can visit the concerned office for the detail information about the criteria.

The minimum age to appear in the 10th board exam is 14 years, as of 31st December of the year of examination. No upper limit of age to appear in the exam is specified. So the school will decide within these guidelines.

Your daughter is eligible to appear for the 10th examination in 2028.

The very first thing I would like to let you know is that CBSE does not set the criteria of minimum age for appearing in the CBSE Class 10th board examination explicitly rather it follows the age criteria set by the concerned state examination board in which the school is situated.

So, to have an idea about the minimum age required for your state examination board you need to contact your school management or directly to your state examination board officials.

As per the guidelines of CBSE, the minimum age to appear in class X should be 14 years. There is no upper age limit to appear for Class X CBSE Board.

If your daughter completes 14 years of age as of 31st December of the year of examination then she can certainly attempt 10th class board examination as per the CBSE guidelines.

There is no upper age limit to attempt 10th class examination.

He/she must have passed class 9 examination from a school recognised or affiliated by CBSE board or any other recognised board.
He/she must be studying in class 10 in a school affiliated with CBSE in the academic year 2022-23.
There is no age limit to appear for CBSE 10th exam 2023. But at the time of admission, a student will have to fulfill the maximum and minimum age limits as determined by the government of State/UT of the place where the school is located.
