No, you are not eligible to appear in CDS examination being a B.Com second year student. To be eligible to apply for CDS examination, you should have passed Bachelor's degree course from a Government recognised university. So, being a B.Com second year student, you have to complete the B.Com course to be eligible to apply for CDS examination.

As you are currently in 2nd year of B.Com course, so as of now you cannot apply for CDS Exam.
To be eligible for appearing in CDS exam, you must be in final year of graduation or have completed graduation. So, after 1 year you can apply for CDS Exam. To qualify CDS Exam, you will have to crack Written Exam and then SSB Interview (only if you qualify Written Exam). |

Re: Eligibility to appear in CDS exam for BCom 2nd year student?
CDS refers to Combined Defense Services and same has four wings namely Naval Academy (NA), Air Force Academy (AFA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), and Officer's Training Academy (OTA) for joining which one is required to qualify CDS entrance examination held by UPSC twice every year.
--> The minimum qualifications required to appear in the CDS entrance examination are as below :- * You must have the citizenship of India. * Your age need to lie within 20 years to 24 years except in the case of OTA for which the maximum permissible age is 25 years. * You must have completed your bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university. But, for joining NA, you are required to hold B.E./B.Tech degree. Students pursuing final year of their bachelor degree are also eligible to apply for the same examination. * You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms. So, being a student of second year of B.Com degree, you are eligible to apply for CDS entrance examination from next year as you will enter in the final year of your bachelor degree course.
