Sir I am a Engineer recently passed out B.Tech..I just wanted to know whether m eligible or not for entrance exam held in FTII Pune for acting course.

And Sir if m eligible plz let me know the syllabus as well as books to crack the entrance exam for the same.

Hi Neha

The miniumum required qualification for writing the test of FTII is a bachelor's degree in any subject; and for Computer Graphics and Animation, the minimum set qualification is 10+2. For a course in Audiography, you must have studied and passed Phyiscs in 10+2.

Since you are a B.Tech, meeting any of the eligibility criteria will not be a problem. And as you have mentioned that you'd want to do a course in acting, Two-year post-graduate diploma in Acting will be best suited for you.

As regards the syllabus of the exam is concerned, FTII has not drafted any Syllabus or guidelines in Particular for the test. However, you should prepare yourself for:

Mental and Reasonal Aptitude
General Knowldege
ScreenPlay Writing

The Eligibility criteria for Acting course in FTII is a bachelor degree.Its a 2 year PG Diploma course.As you are an engineering graduate you are eligible for this course.There are around 28 seats for this particular course.

For the preparation you can practice Numerical Aptitude,Reasoning,General Awareness. I have searched a lot but could not get any previous papers also,except a model type paper.Though it may not be sufficient but it might give you some idea about some questions.I have attached it.

Sir, can you please share with me the experience of the students (actor) those are passed out from FTII.
To be very specific, are they working somewhere in movie or serials or others ??

Sir.....I know that Ftii is great and only one government institution for Films but i have read in many mails about FTII that it is having a issue of previous admitted students those who all are still not passed....They are trying to make that institue private...Sir I want to become an actor but because of issues going on I am afraid of taking admission here...Please help with this

the minimum eligibility is a bachelor's degree...........

--> candidates willing to pursue a course in audiography & tv engineering, need to have phy 10+2 level besides a degree in any discipline..........

--> for courses in art direction, the candidate should either have bachelor's degree an equivalent diploma in Architecture/painting/Applied Art/Sculptures/Interior designs or related fields in fine arts.......


**among all bachelor's degree is important & since you are graduated you are eligible for FTTI -acting course......

and as far the syllabus is concerned FTTI has not given any particular information regarding that.........

sir,am a btech student i am not at all intrested in this, my ambition is to be a film maker i have lot of threads in my mind and has started writing it as a screenplay. my question is that if i am not able to get my b tech degree certificate will i be eligible for direction course??? am fed of this b tech.......:(

My ques is that : to do something in field of films n t.v. Is it necessary to have a diploma or degree in this courses? Or film industry had any written contract with ftii that every student of it will get work of their choice in industry. Practically it is only the way to be at a safe side by doing such course, so that one will satisfy him/herself that they will get something in film industry.

As per IFTI's website, minimum qualification for Acting Course is a Bachelor's Degree. At the end of the 3rd year of your B.Pharm, you will be eligible to appear for the entrance exam.
For syllabus, you should get in touch with IFTI.

hey i am siddhant pandey n i have just passed 12th with commerce so i am eligible for acting course or not
