IES Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications : Degree in : • Electrical Engineering • Electronics & Communications Engineering • Civil Engineering • Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from recognized universities. • M.Sc. degree or equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject is also acceptable for certain posts. • Students of final year Engineering or equivalent degree are also eligible. so there is no percentage is required only pass out of final student are enough.. Age Limits : Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as such percentage criteria is not defined as depends on many factors...but one need to give best and try to get in top ranks........and it believe to be 300 as cutoff if we take reference of previous years....... |

The eligibility for the IES exam is, a candidate must have engineering degree or in the final year of the following branches. *Mechanical *Electrical *Civil *Electronics & Comm A computer science and IT students can't appear for the IES exam. The age limit for the exam will be 21-30 years, SC/ST candidates have 5% of relaxation. The cutoff marks will be depends upon the number of candidates appears. The last years cutoff marks will be 300. So this year it might be change as increment of 5%. So prepare well for the exam. Good luck!!! |

I think you are referring to the Engineering Service Exam.
The exam is conducted by the UPSC ever year. Minimum Eligibility: Educational Qualification: candidate must have a bachelor's degree in engineering in any of the following categories: Category I: Electrical Engineering Category II: Electronics and Communication Engineering Category III: Civil Engineering Category IV: Mechanical Engineering Age limit: Candidate must have attained minimum 21years of age as on 1st August of the year of exam. IES exam conducted by upsc. there are four brach offered by upsc to appear in exam.
Categories of which recruitment is made through the Examination i. Civil Engineering ii. Mechanical Engineering iii. Electrical Engineering iv. Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering Age-limits: 21-30 years on 1st August of the year of Examination. Educational Qualifications: * A degree in Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent. Eligibilty criteria to appear in IAS exam is to be graduate with any of the stream.
Candidate with a graduate degree in any of the stream would be eligible for IAS examination. |

IES (Indian Engineering Services) exam is going to be conducted by UPSC.
It is going to be conducted on 14th May,2011. The eligibility criteria for IES examination will be Academic qualification: -One should be graduate in Engineering from a recognized university. -Candidates who have appeared for their final year examinations are also eligible. Age criteria : -One should be in the age group of 21-30 years. Recruitment on the results of this examination will be made into the services under the following categories. Category I : Civil Engineering Category II : Mechanical Engineering Category III : Electrical Engineering Category IV : Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering IES (Indian Engineering Services) exam is going to be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). IES is Indian Engineering Services. this examination is conducted by UPSC.
the eligible for stream of engineering for IES examination is Category I—Civil Engineering. Category II—Mechanical Engineering. Category III—Electrical Engineering. For appearing in the Indian Engineering services(IES) you need to be a B.Tech graduate or equivalent from recognized university. It include the branches includes: *Mechanical *Electrical *Civil *Electronics A computer science/IT students can not apply for the IES exam. The cutoff marks depends upon the total number of candidate apply. So this is unpredictable to say. |
