Hi, I have completed my Intermediate and now I am interested to study BSc(Nursing) course. I am 16 years of age now. So, am I eligible to study this BSc course at this age? Please help me to know about this immediately.

B.Sc Nursing is 4 year undergraduate program for candidates who have completed their higher secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from any recognised board.
Also, candidate must be of minimum 17 years and maximum 23 years of age on or before 31st December in the year of entrance examination.

AIIMS(All India Institute of Medical Science) Nursing Entrance Examination is also conducted every year in B.Sc and M.Sc in Nursing.
Registration for entrance test starts in last week of March and last in second week of April.
Examination is conducted in last week of June and result is published in month of July.
Counselling sessions for admission starts in first week of August.

Other universities for B.Sc Nursing are
-Armed Forces Medical College, Pune
-Christian Medical College, Vellore
-Guru Gobind Singh Medical University, New Delhi
-King George's Medical University, Lucknow

All the above mentioned institutes conduct their own entrance examination for admission in B.Sc Nursing.
Manipal College of Nursing is also a pioneer institute for B.Sc Nursing in India. There is no entrance examination for admission in B.Sc Nursing, only marks in PCB(Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in higher secondary is taken under consideration.

Minimum age should be 17 years for applying for that but regardless of this you may contact the respective institute about this

The eligibility criteria for B.Sc in Nursing course:

Academic qualification required is 12th passed from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subject.

At least 50% marks in board exam of 12th is required.

Candidate should be minimum of 17 years on 31st December of year of admission to pursue this course.

Bachelor of science (nursing) is a four year course .To be eligible for this the criteria are :
1)You must have passes 12 standard with physics ,chemistry, biology and English with 45% from a recognized board
2)The minimum age limit is 17 years
3)You need to be medically fit
4) You have to pass the entrance exam for this course

As now you are 16 years you are not eligible for this course .

B.Sc ( Bachelor of Science ) in Nursing degree is an undergraduate degree course of four years with a very good career scope in the field of nursing.

The minimum education required for pursuing for the same degree course is a higher secondary school degree in Science stream with PCB group from a recognized board of education.

Also, the minimum age required for admission to B.Sc in Nursing degree course is 17 years by the 31st December of year of admission to the same degree course.

So, being 16 years old, you are eligible for admission in B.Sc in Nursing degree course this year if you will turn 17 by the 31st December 2018 otherwise you will have to wait till the next year.

You have passed Intermediate course, it means that you have completed class 10+2. Its a good idea to do B.Sc Nursing course due to the high volume recruitments every year.
