Which entrance exam is there to join Merchant Navy?


Is there any entrance exams to join Merchant Navy? What is the name of that entrance exam? Who conduct that entrance? What is eligibility to appear in that entrance? Entrance exam syllabus and exam pattern? Also, share few past years solved papers.

IITJEE exam (now called JEE Advanced Exam) is applicable for getting admission to Merchant Navy institutes.
Many maritime institutes admit students on the basis of JEE Advanced ranks.
