The final year student are eligible to apply for GATE examination.There are no age limit and no. of attempt in the GATE examination.

GATE Exam Details:

~GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. It is an all India Examination which is jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology. This exam is conducted in eight zones across the country.

~To give this exam you need to be a bachelor's degree holder in Engineering/Technology/Architecture. The course should a full time regular one of four years duration.

~If you are in the final year awaiting the result of the final exam or about to give the final year exam then also you can give this exam.

~If you have a master's degree science or mathematics or computer science or statistics then also you are eligible. Even final year candidates can also give this exam.

~If you are in the third or final year of a four year integrated master's programme in engineering or technology then also count yourself in.

~After you satisfy all the eligibility criteria only then you will get the GATE Score Card which can be downloaded from the official website. It will be valid for only two years. You wont get any additional GATE score card.

~In the examination you have to face mostly objective type of questions. The paper needs to be completed in three hours' time and you have to answer 65 questions of 100 marks all total.

~You should cautiously answer every question because there is negative marking too. For each wrong answer 1/3rd marks will be deducted from the original score.

~The exam is held generally in the month of February and the result will be out in the middle of March.
