Sir,Are girls eligible for NDA?
Because I filled my form and submitted it but i got a reply from UPSC Office that GIRLS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR NDA. please inform me as fast as you can.

no..... girls are not eligible for nda test. because eligibility of nda is only boys can take this exams....
as in nda candidates selected are sent for officer training...and in this case girls are not eligible for this..
now you don't think that girls can not become officer..... but in nda only boys can apply for this side

Dear Friend,

Yes, At present girls are not allowed to join through NDA. Only unmarried male are permitted as per the govt policy. Girls are permitted to join as Short Service Commission (SSC) in education, logistics, communication, Air Traffic Control,etc.

In this regards a case is in process to be clear by govt at an early date.

whatever u got to know is correct girls are not eligible for nda examination.
But donn't be sad because if you wanna go in defence then you can get into after garduation through cdse nd you can go for Officers training academy(OTA) in chennai.

Are girls eligible for the NDA Examination ?

No, as per eligibility criteria of NDA examination girl candidates are not eligible to appear in the NDA examination. NDA examination is conducted only for the unmarried male candidates. So, if you are a girl candidates then you are not eligible for the NDA examination.

You can join Indian Army by the women special entry or through CDS examination. To appear in the CDS examination you need the graduation degree with at least 60% aggregate marks and the age must be between 18 to 24 years at the time of appearing of this examination. So, if you want to appear in the CDS exam then first do graduation and then you can apply for the CDS exam.

The NDA examination is conducted by UPSC twice in every year for the admission in the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Air Force wing of NDA examination. If you want to know any more information regarding NDA examination then please see the official website of UPSC :- http://www.upsc.gov.in

Girls are not allowed in NDA exam
So you do not give this exam
But if you have interested to join defense line ,then you give the entrance exam after
graduation.but after graduation you give CDS also
that is very good entry for Girls because this is the officers entry..........

female candidates are not eligible to apply for this examination.The N.D.A examination is only for unmarried male candidates.So,your not eligible to appear the N.D.A Exam.

But you can appear for O.T.A(Officer Training Academy).It is only for unmarried female candidates.To appear in the O.T.A examination,your age should have a minimum 19 years and maximum 25 years of age at time of appearing.So,firstly your graduation then apply for the O.T.A Examination.

Officer Training Academy examination is conducted by Upsc twice in a year.(CDS I & CDS II).

First of all I appreciate your interest in national defense academy being a girl.But unfortunately girls are not allowed to appear in NDA.It is meant only for unmarried male candidates.But don't get depressed as you can join Indian Army by the women special entry or through CDS examination.

Sorry my dear friend girls generally are not eligible for NDA .
NDA is mainly for the selection of male candidate .It's government rule .
But don't be disappoint girls can also join Navy ,Airforce ,Army
as officer .If girls wants to join Defense then there are various ways
through which a girl candidate can join .
1]A girl candidate can apply for Short service commission
for that a candidate should be graduate .For that a candidate will have to apply
for CDS .
2]Girls can also join defense as a officer through medical entrance examination .
In this a candidate will have to appear in AFMC entrance examination .After clearing the exam a candidate have to study in armed medical college .After completing course she will join defense as officer .

1.12th with science with PCM combination.

2.minimum 60% marks in class 12th exam.

5.only men Indian city gen can apply.

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for NDA exam.

The eligibility criteria for this is as follows:-

Only unmarried male candidates are allowed between 16.5 to 19 years and have

done 10+2 with physics , chemistry and maths ( 60%).

no female candidates are not eligable to apply for nda exam.but if someone is really interested in defense jobs then she may apply for short service commision jobs of ground duty in airforce and navy.the exam to appear for it is the ues exam which is held twice a year and you need to be a graduate to appear for the exam. and minimum 21 yrs old.

Girls are not allowed for NDA exam, as per the recent notice of 2011.

Only unmarried male candidate are eligible for NDA exam,whose age is between 16 1/2 to 19 years and he should complete 12th standard with PCM course.

If you want to work in deffence service,then you can appear CDS exam,after your graduation course.

Yeah they were right,as there is no allocation for girls in NDA.

You should have checked the eligibility criteria and details of the exam before filling the form and submitting it.

Details for NDA:

NDA is a defence service programme which is conducted by UPSC every year which is held twice in favor of candidates to join in Indian Army,Navy and Air force.

The candidate should be eligible for the exam and the criteria's which they must satisfy are:

The candidate must be a citizen of India.

The candidate must be a unmarried male candidate.

The candidate must have a age limit of 16 1/2-19 years.

As far regarding the education qualification the candidates must have finished +2 from a recognized board.

The candidates who want to join in Indian Navy and Air force must have passed +2 from a recognized board with physics and mathematics as subjects.

The candidate must be physically fit while appearing for the exam.

No my dear friend girls are not allowed for NDA . Only unmarried boys can apply for the exam .
But there is nothing to worry ,there are so many ways girls between 19 to 27 years can apply for defense through -
NCC(age limit = 19 to 25 years)
CDS
SSC exams .

As far as NDA is concerned, only unmarried male candidates are eligible to give the test.

Since you are a female candidate, therefore you are not eligible for this test.

However, to join the army, you can appear for the CDSE after your graduation to get a permanent commission in the army.

I would like to state that girls are not eligible for NDA examination, which is conducted by UPSC every year for two times.
for appear in this exam a candidate must have 12th degree in PCM with at least 60%.
the age limit for this exam is 16.5-19.

but after graduation you can apply for CDSE , conducted by UPSC evrey year.
for this exam girls are eligible , nd then can apply for any one of the branch of the indian army.
1.naval wing
2.air wing
3.military wing

the age limit for this exam is 19-24.
for appear in this exam you must have graduation degree in science stream , you must have score at least 60% in graduation.

No girls are not eligible for appearing in NDA exam.

NDA exam is an exam named as National Defense Academy exam conducted by UPSC twice in a year for choosing best persons for joining in Indian Defense Services. To be eligible to appear in NDA exam the first condition is you must be an unmarried male candidate and your age must be above 16.5years and below 19years. You must have passed your 12th std of any discipline from a recognized board.

As you failed in the first condition itself you are not eligible for appearing in NDA exam.

No , you cant' apply for national academic examination after 10 class.To Appear for NDA Exam you need to have at least completed the 10+2 class exam from recognized board or school .By appearing in NDA Exam you can join these following branches of Indian defense Services ....

sorry girls are not eligible to write NDA exam .but you can try OTA by writing CDS exam so that you can be apart of Indian Defense sector.
