can i take admission in a good engineering college with 71% marks in +2 exam

well to get admssion to good engineerig college you have to take ENTRANCE EXAM .

different entrance exam

IIT JEE---> takes place at national level to select students for IITs .

AIEEE--->takes place at national level to select students for NITs and many other best
colleges .

and different states ENTRANCE EXAM like

UPSEE FOR UP STUDENTS .

so marks doesn't matter much if you haven't filled these forms because at
least to get admission to good colleges under management quota you should
have AIEEE admit card .

you will have to get good rank in aieee or iit jee exam. only then you will get good college.
12th class marks are needed to become eligible for the exam.
but the main role is played by the entrance exams.

Everythin depends upon your entrance result.
that may be
1. IITJEE rank
2. AIEEE rank
3. State exam rank
Just try to get a good rank in engineering entrance examinations.

Yes you can but for good & reputed colleges like IIT and NIT you have to clear JEE & AIEEE respectively.
There are some other colleges also which take admission on the basis of 12th % but for IIT & NIT there is no match.
So try to clear these exams or you can also apply for private colleges like BITS,VIT,SRM through their separate exams.

Surely you do have a good score. But that is not sufficient to secure admission. You will need to appear for entrance exams. You need to first decide the college where you would like to join. For the best colleges in the country you must appear for IIT-JEE or AIEEE.

with 12th marks you can not get any good engineering college .
to get good college you need to crack the ENTRANCE EXAMS.

To get admission in any good engineering college in India, you have to sit for the entrance examinations :

1. IIT JEE - To get into the IIT's and the extended merit list candidates can also get in ISRO.
2. AIEEE - All India engineering entrance examination . This has got huge collection of regional colleges all over India.
3. BITS Pilani - Only for the BITS campus.
4. DCE- Delhi college of engineering entrance
5. WB JEE- For all the colleges in WB districts.

All these have eligibility criteria that a candidate much secure 60% minimum aggregate in 12th. Since you have 71%, you can apply for these colleges, and get a seat for yourself.

71% is way over the minimum limit that has been imposed by most of the engineering colleges which is 60%. So you are well eligible to apply for any engineering stream.

The only negative thing is that , you are not eligible to apply for BITSAT, which is the entrance exam to get into BITS colleges, since they require a minimum 80% in the 12th boards.

Now you have many choices, like :

IIT JEE
AIEEE
DCE
IP University
NDA
WB JEE
COMET-K
SRMEE
VITEEE

etc.
You can apply to all these engineering entrances and if you get a very good rank, then only you can get a good college based on that.

AIEEE provides you an ALL INDIA RANK (AIR), which tell you where you stand in the national level.

So prepare well for all the entrances, and crack any one to get into a good university or college.
