How to appear for civil services exam? Where to get the study material?

I will appear for this years Civil Services exam. I need some guidance on the study material.

you want to crack the civil service exam.best of luck for that..
a little guidance is here for you..
get a test series from any of the coaching institute or arrange it from somewhere so that you got an idea about the exam..that how it come to be.
secondly follow the pratiyogita darpan, and some other related competitive magazines that helps alot in this.Get through the toppers view you will get some helpfull idea's from there,
manage your time and dedicate yourself to it.
you can also look for the current topic at gktoday.com.
previous papers will help a lot to get the outframe idea so ..

Sir.
You want to join the INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE (IAS), through civil service examination,. This civil service examination is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC).
Through this civil service examination, one can apply for the INDIAN POLICE SERVICES (IPS), INDIAN FOREST SERVICES (IFS) & INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES (IAS).
The minimum educational requirements for this examination is a graduation degree from a recognized college, whatever may be the stream is..
Diploma holders are not eligible for the civil services examinations.
You must have Indian nationality.
This civil service examination has three level-

1. CIVIL SERVICE APTITUDE TEST (CSAT)
2. MAINS
3. INTERVIEW.

CIVIL SERVICES EXAMS PATTERN-



CSAT EXAM PATTERN & SYLLABUS --



OPTIONAL SUBJECTS IN CSAT-



Age limit-

21-30 years for the GENERAL candidates,
21-33 years for the OBC candidates,
21-35 years for the SC\ST candidates,..

No. of attempts-

4 for the GENERAL candidates,
7 for the OBC candidates,
No such restriction for the SC\ST candidates..
