I completed my b.tech in 2005 and not doing job anywhere.now I want to apply for bank exams.can I eligible for po exams.what is the age limit.

B.Tech holders can apply for IBPS Specialist Officer Position till 28th January 2013. No prior work experience is required to apply for his position. Upper age limit of the applicant must be 30 years. Candidates belonging to reserved category can enjoy relaxation in age. OBC category candidates can have 3 year age relaxation and SC/ST candidates can have 5 years.

Yes,you will be eligible to apply for any banks for the

• Clerk.
• P.O(Probationary officers).

The List of Bank Exams in which you can appear are :-

• IBPS PO ,IT and Clerk.
• IBPS Rural Bank.
• IBPS NABARD.
• SBI Associates.
• RBI Officers.

In order to appear in these exams,you will have to meet certain eligibility criteria.These are :-

Educational qualification :-
-->>You should be passed out in your engineering from recognized university.

Marks :-
-->>Your minimum marks in your engineering should be 60% or above.

Age :-
-->>Your minimum age should be 18 years and should not be above 28 years.

NOTE:-If you belong from the reserved category such as OBC/SC/ST then you will also able to get the age relaxations as per government norms.

Questions in these exams will be asked from the following sections:-
-->>Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
-->>Data Interpretation and Elementary Mathematics.
-->>General Knowledge related to Indian Banking Sectors.

After completing B.Tech. Degree, one can apply for Bank P.O.(Probationary Officer) job, the exam foe which is generally conducted by SBI and IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection).

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation degree in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

Although it is not recommended to Bachelor of Technology graduates to apply for the Bank PO exam. However since you have not been able to find job ever since completing Engineering way back in 2005, I think you should definitely apply for the Bank PO entrance exam.

The Bank PO entrance exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services (IBPS), which conducts entrance exam on the behalf of 19 Public Sector Banks. If you cleared the exam with good marks, you will have option of applying for job in any of the following 19 Public Sector Banks.

There are a number of banks in India among which some are private and other are government banks but all of those banks are highly reputed and brilliant one's and have vacant vacancies too.


Each private bank conducts it sown entrance exam,which you must have to qualify to appear for that job vacancy.


But government banks form commission which recruit exams for the different government banks and one of the commission is IBPS or Institute of banking personnel selection which conducts exam for the recruitment of candidates into different government banks according to the marks.



But to appear for any of the exam,whether private or government,you need to satisfy certain eligibility conditions as follows :

you need to be graduate from recognized & well reputed university.
