Re: How to apply for bank exam? What is the procedure for it? Minimum qualification required for banking job?
If you are interested in banking job then I will suggest you to apply for the entrance exams by Institute of Banking Personnel Services. There are two entrance exams for which you should consider applying.
IBPS Clerical IBPS Bank PO The Clerical exam is conducted twice a year while Bank PO is only conducted once. IBPS is responsible for conducting entrance exams for 20 public sector banks. Therefore if interested in government job in banking sector, there ain't any better option. You can apply for the Clerical exam which is scheduled to take place later in the year. Bank PO exam is also going to take place but for this exam registration process is already over. However if you are eligible for the Bank PO then I will recommend you to wait till next year but do not apply for the Clerical exam later in the year. IBPS Clerical/Bank PO Eligibility 1. Applicant should be Indian citizen. 2. Graduation degree is necessary to apply for the exams. 3. There should be 60 percent marks in graduation for Bank PO. 4. SC/ST can apply with 55 percent marks. 5. For Clerical exam there is no marks criteria. 6. You should also have diploma/degree/certificate in Computers. 7. Computer Science/IT subject in 12th or college will also be accepted. 8. The age limit is 20 to 28 years for both the exams. 9. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 10. Relaxation given to SC/ST is 5 years. 11. 10 years relaxation is given to PWD. |

Re: How to apply for bank exam? What is the procedure for it? Minimum qualification required for banking job?
Banking sector is growing at rapid pace in India. Hence there are good number of job opportunities for the candidates in banking sector.
The entry level positions in various banks will be Written Exam Interview The written exam consists of questions from the following categories Reasoning Numerical Ability General Awareness General English Computer and Marketing knowledge IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) is conducting common written exams separately for the recruitment of following positions Clerical positions Probationary Officers Specialist Officers One can apply for this exam in online mode only. But the payment of fees can be made either by online or offline. One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream in order to be eligible to apply for clerical positions. But in order to be eligible to apply for PO positions, it is must that the candidate should score minimum 60% of marks in Graduation from a recognized university. These are the new rules which will be effecting from this academic year. You did not mention your highest academic qualification. If you possess the above mentioned eligibility criteria, you can apply for IBPS exam for the respective positions. Better to start preparation by taking coaching from a coaching institute so that it will be easy for you to crack the exam. Many candidates will face problems in getting good score in the area of General Awareness. So, try to put more concentration on this area. There is negative marking in the written exam. So, try to be accurate while answering various aptitude and logical questions. For information on various bank exams, you can visit http://www.bankexamsindia.com/ |
