Hi, presently I am in my 9th standard and I wan to set my career in Tax and Customs. I heard about Custom House Agent. What it is all about? What are duties and works of Custom House Agents? How can one get into this? How can I become a Custom House Agent? What all education is required? How much one can earn as a Custom House Agent?

Eligibility for Custom house agent-
* Candidates need to have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
* Possess a pass in form G for an year as an employee of a firm or company with written authorization from the commissioner.
* Have 3 year experience in custom clearance work.

Roles & responsibilities-
* They act on behalf of other with custom official to undergo necessary import & export clearance procedure with custom department.

Salary-
They earn an average of 18 lakhs.
