How can I become an IAS officer? What type of exams can I write?
hai sir,
this is teja my goal is to become an I.A.S officer.which type of exams i want to write and how many years it will take?please tell me the details |

If you have completed Graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IAS exam.There is no marks criteria. Your age should be in between 21 years to 30 years for general candidates .Age relaxation is given below - 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates 3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates 10 years relaxation for PHC candidates 5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman There is a restriction for attempts .The no attempts allowed for IAS exam is given below- General Candidate can maximum 4 Times OBC Candidate can Maximum 7 Times SC/ST there is no attempt Limit IAS examination can be divided as three stages. 1)Preliminary 2)Main exam 3)Interview For more details about IAS exam please visit to www.upsc.gov.in If you have completed graduation degree then you are eligible for- 1)SSC 2)School Service Exam 3)CDS 4)SCRA 5)Postal Assistant exam 6)Bank PO and Clerk |
