You must be a graduate to appear for SSC exam to join as Crime officer in India.

Eligibility criteria to join Crime branch in India

A Degree of any stream from a recognized university
Age limit between 21 to 28 years

Selection process

Preliminary exam
main exam
Interview
Physical test.

Firstly, you have complete your Graduation degree from any recognized university with at least 55 % marks to join Crime Bureau of Investigation or Crime Investigation Department. So, as you have passed your 12th, you are not eligible to join Crime Branch.
Selection Procedure:
1.Candidates must appear in Union Public Service Commission Examination.
2.There will be a Written Test, candidates who will be shortlisted in written test will go for further procedures i.e Physical Test & Interview.
3.Candidates must be of 20 years at the time of applying.
3.Relaxation in age will be there for reserved categories as per government rules.
