Being a law graduate , to join Indian Army you will have to go through the Combined Defense Services examination held by union public service commission twice every year and as are popularly known as CDS I & CDS II .

Yes you are eligible to join Indian Army but your age is at the maximum limit. You can apply for the CDS entrance examination conducted by UPSC every year twice in the month of February and July.
The eligibility criteria for the examination is :- *Candidates must have graduation degree from any recognized university. * Candidates age must be between 19-24 years for IMF and 19-25 for OTA. *There is no limitations on discipline of graduation for the IMF and OTA. The examination is conducted in two stages as Written and SSB. The written examination is conducted and the candidates who qualifies in it are called for the SSB. To crack the CDS written examination it is necessary to have good knowledge of English,General knowledge and Mathematics. I am pleased with your move towards Indian Army as to serve the country but do hard labour to join as you have only one year. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

Being graduate, you can apply for graduate level defence entrance examination namely Combined Defence Service (CDS) Examination. But there is no any specialised law related job for you. You will be considered equivalent to other candidates possessing other bachelor degrees. Now you have the option either continue your profession of advocate or join defence forces which are entirely different from law profession. Now it has to decided yourself after deep consideration. For CDS Examination, you must be in the age limit of 19 years to 25 years. But you are now 24 years old. Though CDS Examination holds twice in a year. So you still have atleast two attempts. So apply for CDS Examination.
