FOR MUMBAI UNIVERSITY

As per my knowledge,if the pointer is below 7,then the conversion will be (assuming pointer to be 6.75 for simplicity(((6.75*7.1) 12)))=60%.ie ((CGA*7.1) 12)%
And if the pointer is above 7,the the conversion will be (assuming pointer to be 8.00 for simplicity (suppose(8*7.4) 12))=71.2%.ie ((CGA*7.4) 12)%

I have scored 6.75 Aggregate in B.E. from Mumbai University, in 2016.
As per new circular from Mumbai University of 19jun17 conversion of CGPI to Percentage formula is ((CGPI*7.1) 11). As per this formula my B.E. Aggregate is 58.92%.
But as in my final year results it is clearly mentioned that 6.75=60%. This conversion is provided by University only.
But I m going to appear in GATE 2018. And I have prepared a lot. If I scored good in GATE, then how can I justify that my B.E. aggregate is 60%. Bcoz at the time of interview, Every PSU required min. 60%(59.99% also gets rejection). they will ask the formula for conversion of CGPI to Percentage. does the result stating that 6.75 is 60% will help or not?
