IES entrance examination is the examination conducted for Engineering students of the specific groups like for IES entrance examination mainly 4-5 streams of students are known as the eligible candidates remaining stream candidates can appear for the examination but they have to select the only available domains.

the domains which are allowed for this IES entrance exam are as follows.
->Electrical Engineering.
->Electronics Engineering.
->Mechanical Engineering.
->Civil Engineering.
->Electronics and Instrumentation engineering.

No Computer related stream will be available for this examination but the computer science students also can apply for this examination. by selecting their domain from the above.

The preparation for the IES entrance examination will be similar to the preparation of GATE Entrance exam.
It will almost be like GATE entrance exam but it will fetch you government job if you are able to clear that examination.

apart from that syllabus point of view almost 90% of the syllabus will be similar to that of GATE entrance exam.

I'll upload the list of books which you have to prepare from for the examination.
This is all about IES introduction and basics.
I'll upload the list of books at the end of the post in the txt format.

To crack the IES exam if you are very studious then no need of coaching. if you cannot do by yourself you have to go for coaching .

but only one thing to remember is do hardwork with smart plans.

hi,
preparation tips:

first you should have very clear knowledge about the syllabus.
then initially concentrate non structural units.....so that you have direct questions you can answer easily.
after that go for units that you studied well during your academic year...
then go for structural units........study well the units you feel quite easy.
at last cover the rest of the syllabus....don't put more effort....
avoid last minute preparation....
revise the syllabus for one month before the exam.......
