I doing 12th from commerce side i dont know what to do after 12th i dnt want to do CA after 12th but i want the best cource i m good at creative works plzzz tell me what to do

yes you can do ca after doing +2 with commerce.you have to prepare for ca entrance exam.after clearing the exam,you can get easily admission into ca after +2 with commerce.

The first step to do an CA course after passing class 12th is to apply for the CPT course.
Take admission in the CPT course of CA
After that give the CPT exams
CPT exams are held in June and December each year

Next CPT exams would be held on 16th June 2013

In the CPT exams questions are asked from the below sections:
Fundamentals of accounting
Mercantile LAWS
General economics
Quantitative Aptitude

All the questions are asked in objective mode only
Candidates scoring minimum 30% marks are declared as pass
There are negative markings of .25 for each incorrect answer.

As you have commerce stream in 10+2/Intermediate and after getting passed in this course,you should appear in CA CPT Entrance exam for doing Charted Accountant Course from ICWAI.

Eligibility requirement for appearing in Entrance Test
~You should be passed out in Intermediate course from recognized board/University.
~Your minimum marks in 10+2 should be 50%.

CA CPT Entrance Exam syllabus

SECTION I

• Fundamentals of Accounting will be of 60 Marks.

SECTION II

• Mercantile Laws will be of 40 Marks.

SECTION III

• General Economics will be of 50 Marks.

SECTION IV

• Quantitative Aptitude will be of 50 Marks.

Important Dates for CA CPT Entrance 2013

~Last date to Apply - 25th April 2013.
~Entrance Exam date - 16th June 2013.

Yes, you can apply for CA CPT Exam after 12th class with commerce.



CA CPT stands for Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test.

CPT exam is an entranxe exam for the admission to CA course.

It is conducted by I.C.A. ( Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ). It is held four times in one year.

Eligibility Criteria :

>>The candidate must pass his 12th class from any recognized Board.

The Examination consists of four sections:

1.Fundamental of Accounting: It consists of 60 marks.

2.Mercantile Law : It is of 40 marks.

3.General Economics : It is of 50 marks.

4.Quantitative Aptitude : It is of 50 marks.

There is negative marking for wrong answer.

Note: A graduate candidate is directly eligible for C.A. course.

After completing CPT exam you can aaply for IPCC.
IPCC stands for Integrated Professional Competence Course.

Then after IPCC the candidate are eligible for the Final Exam.

i am doing 12th std [state board] in chennai. i want to do CA. i have registered for CPT exams. since CPT syllabus is based on CBSE portions i am confused whether i will be able clear it in the first attempt. now i feel that i can do B.Com first and do CA after completing B.COM. is my idea correct??? and some are telling that CA will be tough for state board students. i feel that if i complete B.Com i can get basic knowledge about IPCC. so please anyone suggest me a good option.. whether to do CA directly or finish b.com and then do CA??
