AIPMT Eligibility Criteria:

~All India Pre-Medical/ Pre-Dental Test or AIPMT as it is better known as is given by candidates seeking admission in colleges to pursue professional courses in medicine or dentistry.

~If you want to sit for this exam then at 10+2 level you should have along with english physics, chemistry, biology or biotechnology. In PCB you need to secure minimum 50% of marks in aggregate.

~For the SC/ST candidates and OBC candidates the percentage to secure in physics, chemistry and biology taken together is 40% of marks.

~While giving this exam you should not be less than 17 years of age. The upper age limit for the general category is 25 years. However there is an age relaxation of 5 years for the SC/ST and OBC candidates.

~In the written examination you have to cross two hurdles to finally get selected. There is one prelim exam which is followed by the main exam. Some candidates are chosen in from the prelim exam who gets to sit for the final exam where difficultly level is even higher.

~In the prelim exam there will be 200 objective type questions from PCB and you need to complete the paper in three hours. In the main exam too the same time limit is available but the number of questions is reduced to 120 objective questions. You will get the opportunity to choose whether you want to answer the questions in Hindi or English.
