my name is gaurav yadav. i am doing my B.Tech from amity university.. right now i am in 2nd year of (CSE) branch... i wants to take admission in your university(thapar).. sir for that tell me the process kindly;

as you are from amity university and you want to take admission in some other university (thapar).......
it seems practically impossible as lateral admission is only for diploma students ......and still if you want to change your college then you can do so but within your university only.........that too if you are a meritorious student of your college....

sorry to inform you that there is no any such procedure to change the college,
but if you have done your diploma course then you can take admission in 3rd semester through lateral entry.

if your college belong from same university and you are the topper of your batch then only it is possible.
and another procedure to get addmission in 3rd sem is if you have diploma as a lateral entry

No sorry bro i really doubt this. Since lateral entry is only for diploma student who want to get admission to 2nd year. Since you are from amity university you can think of a course change within you college itself.

You can try asking your college authorities about this

Thapar conducts LEET-TU exam to admit diploma candidates to direct 2nd year on the basis an entrance test called LEET-TU. Where TU stands for Thapar University.

There are some 10% seats reserved in every branch of thapar university for diploma students

B.E./B.Tech programme (second year through LEET-TU): Admission to the 2nd year of B.E./B.Tech programme shall be made on the basis of the entrance test (LEET-TU) to be conducted by the University at Patiala and Delhi on June 13, 2010

Only those candidates shall be eligible, who score at least 20% (15% for SC/ST) aggregate marks in LEET-TU. In addition, minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST) marks in relevant discipline of diploma are required to be eligible for admission

You can not get the application in thapar university because now you are studying in other university then how can you get an admission in anothet university it's not possible.

You can get an application for an another college in same university but not in another university.
