hi, i live in mizoram, in the north eastern part of india, i stuy cls-10, and i realy want to know how to become an indian astronaut.
i'm from a poor family and had not enoug money to study at foreign school/institude, but i want just want to be an astronaut(no other aim in my life).
if anyone can help me, i will be very thankful and i clearly know that God will help you too.

Firstly you should know that there is no way to become Indian Astronaut as for now. The reason is that India does not send man to space, at least for now. Although ISRO do have plans to send man to space, but it would easily take a decade before that dream becomes reality.


Since you are in 10th standard only, by the time you would be ready to become astronaut, who know, India might be sending man into space. But in the meantime the only option to become astronaut is NASA. You will have to be selected in NASA to become astronaut.


Now to become astronaut, it is not necessary to study in foreign universities. You can complete your education from any recognized Indian university as well. However just ensure that you score good marks in all the related courses which i am mentioning below.


Procedure

1. You must complete 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as the subjects.

2. Next you will have to pursue graduation degree in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, biology. Alternatively you can also pursue B.Tech in Aerospace.

3. After graduation, you will have to do post graduation which should be followed by PhD.

4. In the next step you will need 3 years of related and progressively experience to become astronaut at NASA. Don't worry at that point, it would not be difficult thing.

5. After you have received the necessary experience, apply for the exam by NASA to recruit Scientists and astronaut.


If cleared the exam, you will be taken to the training center of the NASA where you will spend next few months or may be years, preparing to withstand the challenges of the space. This includes adjusting to zero gravity for which you will take Aircraft weightless training lessons.


Once you manages to complete the training, you will become Mission Specialist with NASA and in the future space missions, you may get a chance.

Sorry to say but you cannot become an Indian Astronaut because not a single person has went to space from our country India who is Astronaut from India.

Yet you can become an astronaut if you like to do so by following the below mentioned :

* You should complete your 12th standard with at least 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as your Main Subjects from any recognized board.

* After that you have to go for B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering.

* After completing your graduation in Aerospace Engineering, you have to go for M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering.

* After Completing M.Tech in The same , you will become eligible for the NASA Astronaut`s Entrance Test in which if you will get success , you will have a chance to fulfill your dream.

I am kunal from mumbai.I want to be an astronaut.
I have completed MSc in astrophysics (Physics)with 74% from Mumbai University and want to go for Aerospace Engg. through GATE. Is I am going in correct way to become an astronaut ??
If no then please suggest the way !!!!!

WHAT IS THE DIFF A NORMAL AEROSPACE ENGINEER OR AN ASTRONAUT,IS THERE ANY SCOPE TO BECOME AN ASTRONAUT AFTER COMPLETING B.TECH IN AEROSPACE ENG.
