I want to know how to join army as a doctor after M.B.B.S? Is there any examination????

you can join Indian army as a captain at entry level,in there medical corp,after mbbs.

There is no any common entrance for it like others,you have to appear for entrance exam which will be conducted by army itself followed by an interview and medical fitness test.

Yes there is vacancy in the employment news for the post doctor.

after completing your mbbs course you can join defense forces in medical category .....you will just have to appear for a qualifying exam and an interview .....and then you will be trained for few months and then will be posted either on base or with any war troops.....

Job profile: As a medical officer the candidates will be required to take care of the casualties. They will be required to take charge in cases of emergency and also to safeguard our soldiers.

Eligibility: A candidate must be an Indian citizen. The age of a candidate must not exceed 45 years as on 31st December 2009.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must possess medical qualification included in 1st/2nd Schedule or Part II of the 3rd Schedule of IMC act 1956. PG holders (MD/MS/MCh/DM) may also apply. A candidate must have passed his/her MBBS in first/second attempt. A candidate must have completed his/her internship.

No. of posts: There are 300 vacancies in total.

You can get into army in the AMC[Army Medical Corp] as a Captain.

All you have to do is to appear in the entrance exam conducted by Indian Army every year.

If you manage to clear the exam, you will face an Medical fitness exam and interview.

But unlike other entries in Indian army, it has only 300 vacancies an year.

this is a very good and brave idea...
no entrance will be required,you can join there directly by the interview and medical test,follow the vacancy in army for madical stuff...

I am a doctor in AMC from AFMC. For candidates from civil medical colleges application are invited in the month of Feb/March. Candidates are called for an interview at Army Hospital Research & Referral at Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi to ascertain suitability for commission followed by medical examination at Armed Forces Clinic, Delhi. Joining orders would be issued to the successful candidates who have to report to the unit/ hospital within the stipulated time. All the best..
