respected sir,i passed my degree in commerce this year.
i want to join indian army..
i don’t have NCC certificate…
n i don’t know whether a commerce graduate can join in army..
can you please guide me in this matter as i am very eager to join d army..

not to worry ncc certificate is not always neccesary for it.

you can appear for CDS exam conducted by UPSC

beside this you can also enter in this field through UES.

and in logistic or educational branch of INDIAN ARMY.

commerse field has a entry in defence....ie. logistic department in indian navy.....u shud try it.....it is applicable for graduates only........

there is the one option by that you can go in the army and that is by CDS Examination conducted by UPSC

You need not worry of being a commerce student since there is no entry restriction for commerce students and you need to write the cds exam conducted by the upsc in order to join army.

and if you have have graduate with 60 % marks then you can direct apply for cds.

NDA exam conducted by UPSE every year
you can enter it through technical entry scheme,for this you have to score more than 75% in PCM.

1)you should be less than 23 years old.
2)you should be medically sound.

Applications are invied from unmarried male Engineering Degree students studying in Final year or pre-final yearduring academic session July 2010-2011 for Grant of Permanent Commission in the Army in all Arms/Services.
Final year candidates can exercise their option for following : (i) TGC - 111 (July 2010) terms and conditions will be same as applicable to regular TGC-111 course and SSC (T)-35 course (ii) SSC (T) - 35 (October 2010) terms and condition will b same as applicable to TGC-111 course and SSC (T)-35 course (iii) TGC- 113 (July 2011) terms and conditions will be same as applicable to regular TGC-113 course and SSC (T) - 37 course. (iv) SSC (T) - 37 (October 2011)
Unmarried female candidates studying in final year can exercise heir option for SSC (T) W -6 only commencing in October-2010.

Graduates (Direct Entry)

The UPSC holds an all-India competitive examination, known as the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE), twice a year for University graduates or equivalent. Indian Army 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme Course - 23 Type of Commission : On successful completion of 4 years of the course cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt. in Arms/Services as per discretion of Indian Army HQ.

Indian Army 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme Course - 23 Pay Scale : Candidates will be entitled to pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 plus Grade Pay Rs.5400 plus MSP and other allowances

there are many different ways to join indian army like :-
1. you can give NDA exam to join army .
2. you can get in from technical entry by scoring more than 75% in PCM.
3. you can get into this after your graduation by giving CDS exam.

the easiest procedure is go to the nearby post offfice and collect a form for upsc exams and fill it accordingly to the directions for CDS or OTA or AF or NAVY as per your qualifications do purchase a relevant employment newspaper for the instructions or a pamplate which is avaliable at leading book stores of your town about the details for filling the form and then prepare for it the best book is arihant publications book for CDS exams and go for the exam remember the age limit is from 19 to 25 yrs or you can go for teritorial army whose agelimits are from 22 to 42 yrs and see you qualify the written as well as the SSB and get entry into defence forces the relevant information about teritorial army is there in employment news of 23 to 29 january 2010 wishing you luck and sucess. prepare well .... the subjects you must do are genralknowledge , elementary maths, and english. thats it and any graduate can appear for these exams. for more details do write to me . byeeee

it very nice that you want to join Indian Army. yes by any subject graduate can join Indian Army. first you confirm about vacancies.you have to give your physical exam first and than written exam after that you have to clear your interview.

Joining in an Indian Army is not the tough job. Their are varied steps of life during the academic growth in which one gets the oppertunity to serve country, one is after the high school studies. In that one must possess plus two with maths and physics as compulsury subjects with 65% aggregate . The students thus selected are shortlisted as NDA cadets.
The other after graduation such that minimum criteria for the the percentage is 60% and varied to 65%. thus, the test comes out as the name of CDS or SSB. One of the key feature is after graduation one get the advantage to recruit as Lf, and after a month get a post of captain. but the plus two student require time to become the captain. the education matters and thus the expereince...

The forms are available when there is any vacancies so you have to be careful for forms and you have to be updated information regarding it.......and the physical fitness is must........you have to also clear the exam.......

joining in army is not easy ... ncc certificate is not a necessary one .. u can write NDA and you can get into army .. to become a soldier you dont need to write nda .. physical fitness is enough

I think the NCC certificate is not important for indian army..............only requried age and physical fitness is necessory............

manny forms are come, just fill it and go in direct bharti , when they are come. after 12th you can join army, if you are physically fit.
