After completing BE in Computer Science sure you can join Indian Army.

As a BE holder you can join Indian Army for Officer post(Lieutenant, cornel etc. )

You can enter into Indian Army via following ways..

Through CDS Exam

Through TGC Entry

CDS:- Combined Defence Service

TGC:- Technical Graduate course


Eligibility Criteria for CDS Exam:

• You should have completed Graduation degree from recognized Institute.

Yes ,you have two opportunities through which you can join the Indian army after completion of bachelor of computer science engineering.

First one is the CDS that is Combined defense services examinations .This examination is conducted twice every year by the Union Public service commission.

It gives you opportunities to join the different academies of defense like :

1.Indian military academy

2.Indian Naval academy

3.Officer's Training academy

4.Air force academy.

The educational qualification required for CDS exam is bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university.Final year candidates can also apply for it.

Mathematics at 10+2 level is compulsory for AFA and degree in engineering /technology is necessary for the INA.

The age limitations are as follows:

IMA:19-24 years

INA:19-22 years

OTA:19-25 years

AFA :19-22 years.

Note: Both male and female candidates can apply for the exam.

Last date of receiving application:24/06/2013

After completion of B.E. in Computer Science, you can join Indian Army through cracking CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam, conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.
