Chartered Accountancy course which is one of the competitive course in India with very low success rate. The Chartered Accountancy course is divided in three stages which includes CPT ( Common Proficiency Test ), IPCC ( Integrated Professional Competence Course ) and Final course of Chartered Accountancy.

The minimum requirement for appearing in CPT is a higher secondary school degree course from a recognized board. Also for the students looking for CA course after their intermediate degree by going through CPT, IPCC and CA channel the minimum duration of course of CA course is four and half years.

Also a student can skip the CPT if they opt for directly IPCC and final CA course but for that he/she needs to have bachelor degree course in commerce with a minimum of 55% marks ( in case of graduation in any other discipline marks must be at least 60% ) from a recognized university and in this case the duration of CA course reduces to three years.

Note :- There is no maximum limit of duration of the same course as there is no limit of attempts for appearing in different stages of CA course if a student fails to clear the same.

For further details regarding these examination you can visit the link www.icai.org.

It totally depends upon how quickly you clear entrance examination of different stages of Chartered Accountancy course.

Time taken if you do not fail in any stage to clear CPT, IPCC, Final couse and Articleship is 5 years. But if a candidate gets fail in any stage, he will take more time to complete CA course and become Chartered Accountant.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
