West Bengal Civil Service Exam

As there is no specific announcement in the official web links of Bengal Public service commissions.

we can simply assume the same that is followed by Indian Civil Services examination or UPSC CSE civil service exam

if you don't have idea about that just have a look at it.
4 attempts for General Candidates
7 attempts for OBC Candidates
unlimited attempts for SC/ST/PD

I think the same will be followed by BPSC as they took reference from UPSC to conduct the Civil Service exam for various posts.

Following are the attempts details of west bengal civil service exam

1. General cast 4 times
2. OBC 7 times
3. ST/SC no limit.

For Civil service Criteria is such that.

General Candidates: Number of attempts- 4, Age Limit- 30 years.

OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Number of attempts- 7 times, Age Limit- 30 years.

SC/ST/PH: Number of attempts- unlimited, Age Limit- 34 years.

Eligibilty for west bengal civil services is :-Age Not below 21 years but not more than 32 years on the 1st January of the year of examination for services and posts included in Group ¡®A¡¯,¡¯C¡¯ and ¡®D¡¯. For the West Bengal Police Service only (i.e. Group ¡®B¡¯ Service) age not below 20 years but not more than 32 years on the 1st January of the year of examination.
Educational Qualifications:
i. A degree of a recognized University.
ii. Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali .the number of chances are not counted one can give the examination till his/her age expires for obc an st /sc candidate.

General category students can appear in WBCS exam 4 times..

OBC category students can appear in WBCS exam maximum 7 times.

SC/ST category students can appear in WBCS exam unlimited times..

your age limit must be under 21-30.
there are 5 year s relaxations for SC\ST candidates.
you must have graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university.

The CIVIL SERVICE EXAM is conducted by UPSC in every year.

Those are graduate are applicable for civil service exam.

But your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

Age relaxation is provide 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidate.

No. of permissible attempts :

Four of general category. (Seven attempts of OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs )

So if you want to apply for civil service exam you can visit UPSC own website.
