The system of reservation followed in admissions in professional courses in government colleges are:

>>OBC reservations: 27% of total seats.

>>SC reservation: 15% of total seats.

>>ST reservation: 7.5% total seats.

So, state of Punjab, 15% of total seats of MBBS and BDS course is reserved for SC candidates.

1. The full form of MBBS is Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and that of BDS is Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

2. Admission in MBBS and BDS course in medical colleges of Punjab is done through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. There is 15% seats reserved for All India quota seats and 85% seats in MBBS and BDS courses for state.

3. The reservation for SC candidates in medical colleges in Punjab is 15%.
