How many mbbs pg seats in andra pradesh. Are the mbbs students from andra eligible to give the comed and the all india medical entrance

Postgraduate courses
All the major colleges also have Postgraduate Degree or Diploma courses in their programmes. The awards conferred are Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS) or Diplomate of National Board (DNB)). The MD/ MS degrees are offered by the Universities affiliated to the Medical Council of India and the DNB degree is awarded by the National Board of Examinations, an independent autonomous body under the Ministry of Health, India. They are available in different streams of medical science such as General medicine, General surgery, Orthopaedics, Radiodiagnosis, Radiotherapy, ENT, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia, Paediatrics, Community medicine, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic medicine, Pharmacology, Anatomy, etc. Degree courses are of 3 years duration while diploma courses are of 2 years duration. Following post-graduation, students can opt for further sub-specialization in their area of interest by opting for courses called DM or DNB (Doctorate of Medicine), or MCh or DNB (Master of Chirurgery/ Surgery) again of 3 years duration.
An MD or a DNB (general medicine or paediatrics) is the basic requirement for specialization in Cardiology, Nephrology, Neonatology, Gastro-enterology, Neurology, etc while an MS or a DNB (general surgery, ENT or Orthopaedic surgery) is the basic requirement for Neurosurgery, Urology, Cardio-thoracic & Vascular Surgery, Gastrointestinal Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, etc.
Family Medicine has now become an area of priority in India, and many teaching hospitals offer DNB (Family Medicine).
Post-doctoral fellowship courses in Neuro-radiology, Neuro or Cardiac anesthesiology, etc are offered by select institutions

the andhra pradesh govt. increase in the post-graduate medical seats to 1,507 in government as well as private institutions.so u can apply in those colleges.......gud luck.....!!!!

total number of MBBS seats is 4,069 of which 1,873 are government seats that can be obtained by CET in private institutions which includes minority institutions

At present, there are 271 medical colleges in the country, out of which 138 are in the Government sector and remaining 133 medical colleges are in the private sector.
The MBBS students intake capacity of these medical colleges is about 31,172 and the number of seats available in various PG medical courses is approximately 11,005 annually.

As to the number of reserved seats in MBBS and PG medical courses, the data is not centrally maintained. However, at the State level, the State Governments follow their reservation policy. And in the All India Quota against these seats, 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates and 7.5% for ST candidates.

Approximately there are 2450 medical seats in A.P

COMED exam is organized by Karnataka Pvt. Medical and Dental College Association and Karnataka Unaided Engg. College Association.

Eligibility for appearing this PG entrance test:
Candidates must have passed all their papers in MBBS/ from a recognized Institute . So, You are eligible for writing this test.

These entrance tests are conducted in January each year and applications are issued from December onwards

MBBS is a evergreen field... yeah everystate has eligibility... from wereeva you come it doesnt matter..you wil have eligibility so you can get seat through these entrance exam.....if you want you can write...there are many medical colleges who are offering mbbs seats so never worry about it

in the govrnment medical institutes there are total of 1800 seats and in private colleges the no.of seats are 2450.In all the colleges the no.of seats are either 100 or 150.there are 13 government colleges and private colleges are 20.

my brother secured rank 7024 in the year 2010 entrance examination conducted for medical entrance by NTR health university. My question is in which branch he will get seat whether MBBS (PAYMENT) OR BDS (FREE SEAT? please vclarify the same before 30 th of this month ?
