IES Exam is Conducted Only 1 Times In A Year by UPSC And The Notifications are Published In The Employment Newspaper In The Starting Month Of The Year.

And If You Are Interested To Appear In This Exams Then You Should Have A Engineering Degree And Your Age Is Between 21 to 30 Years, Only Then You Are Eligible To Appear In IES Exams. IES 2011 Exam is to be held on 4 June, 2011.

So, If You Must Have a Graduate in Engineering From a Recognized University And If You Are In Final year, Then Dont Worry You Can Also Appear in IES Exam.

This year the schedule the examination is as follow:

Also, the Indian Economic Services examination is conducted by UPSC once in a year.
This year the schedule of the examination is as follow:

IES exam are conducted only 1 time in a year and its detail notification come in employement newspaper and in its official website www.upsc.gov.in


and this year notification has come and The last date of submitting application is

07.02.2011
(MONDAY)

and the exam will be commence on

14.05.2011 (SATURDAY)

and it will be of 03 DAYS


IES Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications :

IES examination is conducted only once a year by UPSC for selection of engineers for various Departments.
you can appear in civil engineering streams,
I addition i would like to tell you that in certain exception cases the commission has powers to select candidates who are not necessarily engineers so just dont worry
and appear for the exam,
If you do well you will be selected
Take note of the following Dates for IES 2011::

last date of form receipt - 7th February, 2011 (Monday).

There are Two Exam named IES in upsc Thats why Upsc has changed Indian Engineering Services Exam to Engineering Service Exam.

First IES i.e Engineering Services Exam Or Indian Engineering Services Exam Conducted by upsc only Once in a year.
Engineering Graduates with Specific branch are only Eligible.
As upsc schedule for IES is given by
Notification Date Is on 8 of January 2011
Exam is on 14 May 2011.

Second IES i.e Indian Economic Services examination which is also conducted by upsc.
Engineering Or any Graduate with any branch are Eligible
As upsc schedule for IES is given by
Notification Date Is on 30th July 2011
Exam is on 3rd December 2011.

Hi,

The IES exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission of India(UPSC).

The exam is held once a year.

IES schedule for 2011 can be noted as under:

Date of Notification - 8th January, 2011 (Saturday)

Last date of Form Receipt - 7th February, 2011 (Monday).

IES Written Examination date - 4th June, 2011(Saturday)

So, if you wish to apply, you need to hurry up as only a few days are left for the same.

Dear friend, I.E.S. exam is conducted only one time in every year. This exam is conducted by upsc. There are four categories are eligible for I.E.S. as
1. Civil Engineering
2. Mechanical Engg.
3. Electrical engg.
4. Electronics & Telecommunication Engg.
Plan of examintion:-
1. Pre. exam
2. Main exam
3. Interview call.

Well until now IES exam conducted by UPSC board is conducted once a year.Its an exam conducted to recruit the engineers for government sectors and its highly reputed job.Here are some important dates for you in regard to this exam.

ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA FOR THIS EXAM:-

(I) Nationality : A candidate must be either :

a. A citizen of India, or
b. A subject of Nepal, or
c. A subject of Bhutan, or
d. A Tibetan refugee who came over to Indian before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
e. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India.

(II) Indian Engineering Service Examination 2011 Age Limits :



(a) A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st August, 2011 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1981 and not later than 1st August, 1990.

(b) The upper age-limit of 30 years will be relaxable upto 35 years in the case of Government servants of the following categories, if they are employed in a Department/Office under the control of any of the authorities mentioned in column 1 below and apply for admission to the examination for all or any of the Service(s)/Posts mentioned in column 2, for which they are otherwise eligible.

(i) A candidate who holds substantively a permanent post in the particular Department/Office concerned. This relaxation will not be admissible to a probationer appointed against a permanent post in the Department/Office during the period of his probation.

(ii) A candidate who has been continuously in a temporary service on a regular basis in the particular Department/Office for at least 3 years on the 1st August, 2011.

UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2011 Educational Qualifications

For admission to the Indian Service Examination, a candidate must have,

Obtained a degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or
Passed Section A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India); or
Obtained a degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution and under such conditions as may be recognised by the Government for the purpose from time to time, or
Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India); or
Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; or
Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959.

IES Exam 2011 Application Fee :

Candidates applying Online (excepting
SC/ST/Female/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a reduced fee of 50/- (Rupees
Fifty only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card. (b) Candidates residing in remote areas specified may apply offline also (through Common Application Form) are required to pay a fee of 100.00 (Rupees One hundred only) through a single Central Recruitment

Indian Engineering Service Examination shall be conducted according to the following plan:-

Part I - The written examination will comprise two sections—Section I consisting only of objective types of questions and Section II of conventional papers. Both Sections will cover the entire syllabus of the relevant engineering disciplines viz. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

The standard and syllabi prescribed for these papers are given in Schedule to the Appendix. The details of the written examination i.e. subject, duration and maximum marks allotted to each subject.

Part II - Personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the basis of the written examination

in this scheme 3 round
1.pre examinition,
2.main examinition(if you pass the 1 round 'pre examinition') then you give this exam and the 3 round is
3 P.I.

NOTE—The period of apprenticeship if followed by appointment against a working posts on the Railways may be treated as Railway Service for the purpose of age concession.

(c) The upper age-limit prescribed above will be further relaxable—

(i) Upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe;

(ii) Upto a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates.

(iii) Upto a maximum of five years if a candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989.

(iv) Upto a maximum of three years in the case of Defence Service personnel disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area, and released as a consequence thereof;

(v) Upto a maximum of five years in the case of ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service as on 1st August, and have been released (i) on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from 1st August, ) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency, or (ii) on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or (iii) on invalidment;

(vi) Upto a maximum of five years in the case of ECOs/SSCOs who have completed an initial period of assignment of five years of Military Services as on 1st August, and whose assignment has been extended beyond five years and in whose case the Ministry of Defence issues a certificate that they can apply for civil employment and they will be released on three months notice on selection from the date of receipt of offer of appointment.

(vii) Upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and Orthopaedically handicapped persons.

N.B.—The candidature of a person who is admitted to the examination under the age concession mentioned in Para 3(II)(b) above shall be cancelled if, after submitting his application he resigns from service or his services are terminated by his department/office either before or after taking the examination. He will, however, continue to be eligible if he is retrenched from the Service or post after submitting his application. A candidate who after submitting his application to the department is transferred to other department/office will be eligible to compete under departmental age concession provided his application has been forwarded by his parent department.

SAVE AS PROVIDED ABOVE THE AGE LIMITS PRESCRIBED CAN IN NO CASE BE RELAXED.

The date of birth accepted by the Commission is that entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a certificate recognised by an Indian University as equivalent to matriculation or in an extract from a Register of matriculates maintained by a University, which extract must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate. These certificates are required to be submitted along with the detailed applications which will be required to be submitted by the candidates who qualify on the result of the written part of the examination.

No other document relating to age like horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from Municipal Corporation, service records and the like will be accepted.

The expression Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate in this part of the instruction includes the alternative certificates mentioned above.

NOTE 1:- CANDIDATES SHOULD NOTE THAT ONLY THE DATE OF BIRTH AS RECORDED IN THE MATRICULATION/SECONDARY EXAMINATION CERTIFICATE OR AN EQUIVALENT CERTIFICATE ON THE DATE OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED BY THE COMMISSION AND NO SUBSEQUENT REQUEST FOR ITS CHANGE WILL BE CONSIDERED OR GRANTED.

NOTE 2:- CANDIDATES SHOULD ALSO NOTE THAT ONCE A DATE OF BIRTH HAS BEEN CLAIMED BY THE THEM AND ENTERED IN THE RECORDS OF THE COMMISSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADMISSION TO AN EXAMINATION, NO CHANGE WILL BE ALLOWED SUBSEQUENTLY (OR AT ANY OTHER EXAMINATION OF THE COMMISSION) ON ANY GROUNDS WHATSOEVER.

NOTE 3. CANDIDATES SHOULD EXERCISE DUE CARE WHILE ENTERING THEIR DATE OF BIRTH IN COLUMN 8 OF THE APPLICATION FORM. IF ON VERIFICATION AT ANY SUBSEQUENT STAGE, ANY VARIATION IS FOUND IN THEIR DATE OF BIRTH FROM THE ONE ENTERED IN THEIR MATRICULATION OR EQUIVALENT EXAMINATION CERTIFICATE, DISCIPLINARY ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST THEM BY THE COMMISSION UNDER THE RULES.

(III) Minimum Educational Qualification:

For admission to the examination, a candidate must have—

(a) obtained a degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or

Provided that a candidate for the post of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts and Engineer Group 'A' in Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organisation) may possess any of the above qualifications or the qualification mentioned below namely:-

M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject.

NOTE-1—A candidate who has appeared at an examination the passing of which would render him educationally qualified for this examination, but has not been informed of the result, may apply for admission to the examination. A candidate who intends to appear at such a qualifying examination may also apply. Such candidates will be admitted to the examination, if otherwise eligible, but their admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation, if they do not produce proof of having passed the requisite qualifying examination alongwith the detailed applications which will be required to be submitted by the candidates who qualify on the result of written part of the examination.

NOTE-2—In exceptional cases, the Commission may treat a candidate, who has not any of the qualifications prescribed in this rule, as educationally qualified provided that he has passed examinations conducted by other institutions the standard of which in the opinion of the Commission justifies his admission to the examination.

NOTE-3—A candidate who is otherwise qualified but who has taken a degree from a foreign University which is not recognised by Government, may also apply to the Commission and may be admitted to the examination at the discretion of the Commission.

(iv) Physical standards

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Engineering Services Examination, as per guidelines given in the rules for the Engineering Services Examination

IES(indian engineers services)exam is conducted by UPSC. it is for engineering jobs in government.IES exam is conducted every year but it will be conducted only once in a year.
Eligibility for IES exam is to have academic qualification of bachelors degree in engineering from stream of:
Electrical Engineering
Electronics & Communications Engineering
civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.

friend the upsc ies exam is conducted once a year. it is a 2 tier exam the prelims are held in the month of may and then the selected candidates are called for the interview. both objective and subjective exams are taken at the same time.

IES/ISS examination is conducted by Union public service commission once in every December month of a year.

Through this exam recruitment is made to the following posts..

(i) Indian Economic Service
(ii) Indian Statistical Service

Eligibility : -

- Must be citizen of India or neighboring countries migrated to India before 1st January, 1962.

- Students must not be below 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st January, of examination year.

- upper age relaxation is provided to follows..
Max of 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
3 yrs for OBC candidates
5 yrs if a candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during 1980 or 1989.
3 yrs in the case of Defence Services personnel.
Maximum of 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and Orthopaedically handicapped persons.

Education qualification :

for IES :
Candidate must have obtained a Post-graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Busines Economics/Econometric from recognized university.

for ISS :
Candidate must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University.

- Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards.

No of Attempts :-
- 4 times in case of general .
- 7 times if student belon to OBC
- No limit for SC and ST candidate

Important date of I.E.S./I.S.S. Exam - 2011

Date of Notification - 30.07.2011

Last date of receipt of filled Application form - 29.08.2011 (MONDAY)

Date of Commencement of Examination - 03.12.2011 (SATURDAY)

The entrance examination was conducted by upsc every year and It is held in one time in a every year.

IES stands for Indian Engineering Service examination.

Eligibility Criteria :-

IES stands for INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES and this exam is conducted every year once.


To be eligible to appear for the IES you should be pursuing the engineering degree from the following branches.
  1. Civil Engineering
  2. Mechanical Engineering
  3. Electrical Engineering
  4. Electronics & Communications Engineering

You must be a graduate from the above branches of engineering or in the final year of graduation of the course.

Your age must be between 21 to 30 years and there is some relaxation in the age for the Reserved category candidates i.e 3 and 5 years for OBC and SC/ST respectively.A relaxation of 10years is given to Ex service man

There are two papers conducted PAPER -I and PAPER- II and both the sections contain the Questions from your branch.

IMPORTANT DATES ARE:
  • NAME OF THE EXAM:ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMINATION, 2012
  • DATE OF NOTIFICATION : 25.02.2012
