i am pursuing MTech frm a gov college. i want to knw exact amount of scholarship under GATE. i hv valid Gate csore. there is a rumor that it is becomes 12k frm 8k.

MHRD Scholarship amount for M.Tech Stipend based on GATE score is fully depends on the interview of the candidate.

the amount is varied from 8000/- to 14000/- p.m.

minimum a candidate will get 8000/-p.m.

It is the responsibility of the admitting institution to award MHRD scholarship...The gate performance of the candidate will be considered for admission...if the candidate is to be selected through interview for post graduate programmes,minimum 70 % weightage is given to gate performance and remaining weightage is given based on the interview..
minimum every gate qualified student shall get 8000/-per month

Scholarship amount is differ from college to college.In IIT there is 8000 per month,and in NIT 6000 per month.

for other govt college it depends on the govorning body.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) is an national level or all-India examination conducted jointly by one Indian Institute of Science (IISc)and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), as well as it is one of the best post-graduate entrance exam of engineering for the master degree .

The GATE exam will lead you to the specialization for Ph.D,R & D field.

Scholarship:
As per Govt. rule after achieving the GATE valid score i.e. minimum 90 percentile, you will be able to take admission in Govt. Colleges for the master degree.

After having admission you will paid a scholarship of Rs.8000/- per month by the Government of India.The scholarship is paid for the entire 18 months of master degree.

It may be increased according to your project ,so the scholarship may be up to Rs.12,000/- per month.

The scholarship amount varies depending upon your score in the GATE exam. The minimum score required is 90%. The scholarship amount starts from Rs 8000. In case the project cost is higher the scholarship amount can be increased. For that you need to approach the institute where you are pursuing the course.

Firstly I want to tell you friend that scholorship amount is wholly solly depends upon the decision taken by HRD department and it is liable to change even in mid term of period. Also stipend depends upon the institutions like top research institute offers more scholorship than any other college in India. It is true that it may vary from 8000/- to 12000/- but not necessarily be same for all institute.

Yes Every M.tech student from government college will get the stipend from the government.
The amount is varies from 8000 to 14000.
Jadavpur university gives 12000 rupees as a stipend to the M.Tech students.

The criteria for the stipend will be a candidate shouldn't have any backlogs in the M.Tech.If any candidate get backlog in first semester of M.Tech then he/she will not get any stipend.

The amount of scholarship will solely depend upon your College..The level of college...

But According to Ministry of Human and resourse development...You scholarship amount will start from Rs 8000 pm to 14000 pm...

Actually GATE scholarship/stipend amount is given on the basis of GATE score.

If you got 25 marks in GATE then you will be eligible for GATE scholarship.

As per Ministry of Human and resourse development the amount of stipend vary from 8000-14000 rs.

All colleges in Andhra Pradesh provide the stipend in M.Tech for the student taking admission from GATE score but having minimum GATE marks 25.

As per the decision of Ministry of Human and resourse development, the GATE scholarship amount vary from 8000-14000 rs as per institutions.

i am doing my M.Tech through GATE 2009 Score 318 and marks 22.33. does the rule of 25 GATE marks apply to me as well. I am doin M.Tech in AndhraPradesh and ours is the first batch of M.tech in our college. Are there any rules pertaining to private colleges who were permitted M.tech from 2009.My college people have already applied for our stiphend on 21st dec 2009. but there is no response from AICTE. Do we have to apply again. If so to whom exactly.

PhD : With MTech Rs.9500 pm
Without MTech Rs.8000 pm

Contingency Grant ME/ MTech/ MArch/ MPharm : A maximum of Rs.5000 pa

The GATE stipend from this year has become Rs.8000/- to Rs.14000/- per month for the IIT's and the other some of the governmental institutes.

it's generally varies according to your institution and your project for which you have applies for.

But i think that the minimum amount for any college you will get at least Rs.8000/-

So do not worry about it.

no its changed to 9000 this year for open and for obc its 10500
