To apply for the government jobs your percentage in b.tech must be in between 55% - 60%.
as the cut off varies from company to company, so you need to check the cutoff before filling the form

Criteria of different companies is different but almost companies require min. 60% in 10th,12th and graduation.

You should try to make marks above 60% so you can get job in best company.

All government jobs eligibility criteria will be not same but almost there eligibility will be 60% in B.Tech. Some of them have strict eligibility as they don'y have any backlogs.
So if you have fulfill these criteria they apply for the govt. jobs.

if you have minimum of 60% marks then you will be able to apply most of the government jobs as well as public sector jobs.


in various government jobs there are no marks criterion and in some jobs there are minimum marks criterion of 60%. it is better to have all through minimum of 60% marks. this is the eligibility criterion.


marks is not sufficient to get a government or private sector job. obviously you should have the eligibility marks but after that knowledge is needed to get the job. so just try to get the government job by appearing in the process it is not sure that you will get the job if you have good marks.

basically they need 60% marks.
you have to get god marks in the written exam to get good job

Government Jobs are Basically PSU jobs this days Right !!

PSU i.e Public Sector Undertaking . These sectors which consists of ONGC, BHEL, etc Every year recruits 2000 students for the very reputed jobs in different Fields.

For Making Eligible for Psu's you need to have at-least 60% to 65% aggregate in Graduation.

which means First class in Graduation....

For getting a job in the public sector, the minimum marks is stipulated to be around 60%.

In case you fall in the SC /ST category then you are given a relaxation of about 10 % in rare cases and generally it is 55% .

So dont think that securing only the basic requirement is enough.

Study hard and get a good score above 70 % so that you gain a competitive advantage over the others.

Minimum 60% marks are needed in B.Tech to get a Government Job because now a days they have set the eligibility criteria of 60 %.

Apart from obtaining 60% marks deep knowledge of the syllabus is must. So you should have the command on the syllabus.

Let it be government job or private job deep knowledge and dedication towards job is needed.

you have to get 60 %or 50% in to get in government job .

It depends on the job you want to apply...........
Many government jobs ask 60% marks overall in B.tech....
If you have more than 60% than it depends how you perform in entrance exam and in the interview..........

After completion of your B.tech in EEE stream you want to go for govt. jobs, then you have to fulfill some eligibility criteria first..

Eligibility criteria for govt. jobs:-

1.The candidate must have complete the graduation in a respective field..

4.The candidate should be a citizen of India.

Age eligibility:-

with bachelor degree in engineering one can apply for the various government services namely ias, ips and ies, . IES is explicitically for engineers and it is held under four discipline namely civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and instrumentation engineering, electrical engineering.
For applying for the exam the aspirants need a minimum marks of about 50% . There is restriction in age for applying for the exam. For the government service the minimum age is 21. The maximum age is 30 and relaxation is as per the government norms.
The minimum percentage of marks required for applying for various private may vary but with first class i.e 70% one is eligible to appear for job opportunities in all the companies.
The aspirant can write GATE exam with which one is eligible to appear for the public sector companies too. The gate score is valid for two years. The selection procedure involves segregation of aspirants based on the gate score followed by group discussion and personnel interview.

hi... im doing finalyear eee.... what i want to do to get a job in this year itself?

Though the marks vary in different public sector but in general for applying in public sector job you should have above 60% in your graduation. There is a 5% marks relaxation for SC/ST candidate.
