upto how much rank in VITEEE(Vellore) should i hit so as to get admm. in Vellore institute of technology with a good trade.?

If you refer the previous years trend then you can get a seat in VIT main campus upto
an AIR of 8000-10000 because many candidates score good rank well in VITEEE,
also score well in other engineering entrances.

You will not get great options in the first round of counseling beyond 3000 AIR but
if you wait till 2nd and/or 3rd round of counseling then you can get good trade beyond
AIR 5000 too.

As far as good trade is concerned, you should consider following branches of
engineering at VIT.
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Computer Science and Engineering

if you get admission in vit so you should 5000 or 4000 air rank
because you every year so many student appearing in this exam .

I've got a rank of 26512.

mechanical at 13371 is almost impossible, you might get mechanical only if you are planning to take admission under management quota! all the best though

getting admission in VIT university with 49665 rank is only possible through the management quota and there is no chance of getting admission by means of merit.
You may try in other deemed universitites such as SRM, BITS, Manipal, etc.

The first day of counselling ended with the following statistics :



As you can see, there are 240 seats available in each of Vellore and Chennai campus and out of the 5000 people who went for the counselling yesterday, only 24 chose electrical and electronics, you may get EEE in Chennai campus for sure if not the vellore campus.

There is a slight possibility in the vellore campus as well actually, you will have to hope that the rankers above you dont take the seats away!

You can get admission in VIT....

My VITEEE - 2013 rank is 14100. Can i expect a seat in VIT in either mechanical or Civil?
