The IMA is Approved by the Directorate General of shipping (DGS), Ministry of shipping, Government of India vide their letter No: 3-TR(48/99) on Dec 1999..

The Academy has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certification by Indian Register Quality Systems.

The Academy is the study center for "YASHWANTRA CHAVAN MAHARASHTRA OPEN UNIVERSITY (YCMOU) NASHIK" for the award of B.Tech(Marine Engineering)Degree, B.Sc (Nautical Science) Degree.

The Academy is collaborated with "INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY (IMU)", for the award of Diploma Nautical Science which further leads to obtain B.Sc Nautical Science.

IMA DOESN'T PROVIDE ANY PLACEMENT.... RIGHT NOW WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHETHER THEY WILL PROVIDE TOU A VALID DEGREE OR NOT AS IT IS NOW AFFILIATED WITH KSOU AND UGC HAS DERECOGNISED KSOU.... AND THE QUALITY IS BELOW AVERAGE....
