Admission Process for GME

Engineering graduates in Mechanical engineering and naval architecture are eligible to apply for this course. The maximum age limit for this course is 28 years at the time of admission. Candidates are required to be medically fit as well.  Admission process for this course is different in each institute. Most of the reputed institutes provide admission on the basis of composite scores obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam as well as in their qualifying degree. Entrance test will be in multiple choice objective type format. Candidates can expect questions related to their academics, general English etc. Shortlisted Candidates will be called for personal interview, including a Psychometric Test to assess their suitability for a career at sea. Selected candidates will be sent for Medical Examination. Final selection will be based on the report obtained after the medical examination.
