How to prepare for IES exam and when to apply for it?

You must prepare for general studies and a optional subject. The optional subject should be based on what you pursued in graduation. You must also prepare for the English and regional subject for the mains. Interview is also an important part. The form should be available from 19th February. Make sure to fill the form carefully.

The Last date for receipt of application is 7.02.2011 and the exam is on 14.05.2011

Information About IES Examination -

IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service Examination.

This examination was Conducted by UPSC Every Year and to apply for this examination you need to complete Your Engineering Graduate degree course form a recognised university, Final year Engineering Graduates candidates are also eligible for IES Examination.

To apply for This examination Your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

So, If you have completed your Engineering degree course in any one of the Discipline then you are eligible for IES Examination -

>> Civil Engineering.
>> Mecahnical Engineering.
>> Electrical Engineering.
>> Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

You have to appear 3 examination in IES, The examination was held in 3 stages -

>> General Ability Test
>> Objective Papers and
>> Conventional Papers.

If you have completed your Engineering Graduate degree course in any one of the Discipline then you are eligible for IES 2012 Examination.

The Notification of IES Examination was Published in the employment Newspaper OR in the UPSC website in the Month of February.

The Notification of IES 2012 Examination was Going to be Published on 25/Feb/2012.

The Last date of apply for IES Examination - 26/March/2012

Entrance Examination Date - 15/June/2012.

Indian Engineering Service (IES) is conducted by the UPSC every year and for appearing in this exam..the students should satisfy the following criterion :-

1) You should be a B.Tech degree holder or in the final year

2) You should be within the age limit of 21-30 years for general,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST

I would advice you take coaching from a good coaching institute like MADE EASY or buy its study material..

it has some eligibility criteria:-

**educational qualification is graduation in engineering in 4 streams only from recognized university.

**age limit is 21 to 30years.

**the streams are

1.electronics and communication

2.electrical and electronics

3/civil

4.mechanical

There are couple of good coaching institutes in Delhi for IES preparation. But your serious study in your degree courses is the prime pillar of your success so before anything else make sure your thorough with your degree courses.

You can apply for IAS Exam by online or offline by filling form and online through internet.
