Dear Friend,

From your information as you wanna practice the Mathematics & Reasoning i.e. you have to study the General Aptitude means you have to know some tips and some tricks in such a way that you can execute your brain very quickly.

I can assure you that, the mathematics aptitude questions are very very easy, but you have to apply your tricks in very accurately.

For that according to me,there are some procedure to increase your aptitude skills.

1:You should keep clear concept in the basic Mathematics of class V,VI,VII,VIII,IX,X.

2:All the basic formulas ,all other basic tricks of mathematics you should keep in mind.

3ractice the mathematics of previous 10th standard problems more & more etc..

4:Solve the previous year's exam papers.

There are some very important reference books for the aptitude such as:
1:by R.S.Agarwal.
2:Barron's Military Flight Aptitude Tests by Terry L. Duran
3:Books of Upkar Prakashan.
4:The Aptitude Test Workbook by Jim Barrett
5:Numerical Ability & Mathematical Aptitude by Dr. A.B. Rao etc....

there are also some important websites for the aptitude test ,such as:

1:www.freshersworld.com.
2:http://in.peeplo.com/
3:http://www.funeducation.com/ etc....
.
Good luck.

it is not that much hard , when we compared it to the technical exam, working little bit hard , you can clear the exam easily, check it out this point it will help full

Probationary Officer ( PO ) is the initial stage to enter in banking industry. From this, one can progress very quickly to higher hierarchy like Manager, General Manager & may more. So this type of job fascinates fresh graduates a lot. And also they are correct in choosing this. This year also many banks have PO exams recently. Like there is ICICI Bank PO recruitment, SBI PO Recruitment, Corporation Bank PO exam, OBC Bank PO Exam 2010, UCO Bank PO exam 2010 etc.
Preparing for bank PO exam is not a tough job. It needs a little preparation only. The Probationary Officers ( PO ) are selected on the basis of written test & interview. Almost every bank has same pattern of written test. It consists of objective test & descriptive test.
The Objective Test generally carries of 200 – 250 marks & duration is generally 2 – 3 hrs. The questions are on the basis of reasoning aptitude, general awareness, English language & quantitative aptitude. Also there will be negative marking for each wrong answer.
The Descriptive Test is of 1hr generally & questions are essay type based on comprehension in English.

The following should be taken care of while preparing for PO exam :

Reasoning Aptitude : In this section, questions are basically of diagrams, analysis, statements etc. You should be very keen & skillful while attempting this. You will be tested on the skills used by you to solve this. Also look for previous year question paper. This will help you a lot.
General Awareness : For preparing this section, the best is to read the newspaper daily & find out the current affairs in banking sectors. global business, money markets etc.
English language : This section covers questions on English grammar. Vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms etc. The simple grammar book is sufficient for preparation.
Quantitative Aptitude : In this, maths of Xth Std will be asked like algebra, profit loss, percentage etc. Class Xth maths book is the source to prepare for it
Some of the reference books are Sultan Chand publications- Quantitative aptitude, Abhijit Guha, R.S. Agarwal & R.K. Gupta for maths, Also some CDs are available containing important questions.
Best of luck, Success is your friends

Arrow Re: How to prepare for Mathematics and Reasoning in Bank PO Exams?

In banks clerical examinations mathematics is based on reasoning mathematics which is somewhat different than normal mathematics that we have learnt in 10th or 12th standard. Reasoning mathematics is totally based on logic thinking, one must mug up all the basic formulas and tricks. The best way to prepare is first practise maths from genral books like NCERT, R D Sharma and be familiar with all the basic concepts than solve privious years solved test papers. Several books are available( like pratiyogita sahitya, etc) at all leading book stall in which there is lots of solved and unsolved papers are provide. So i would conclude that first clear all the concepts and then solve privious years question papers. Good Luck

There are no short cuts to success, iam sure you might have heard this my friend. The best and the only method to prepare for Bank PO exams is to practice and practice. You cannot keep on searching for short cut methods, this will only kill you time.

Inorder to prepare for this exams you can follow the books of R.S Aggarwal which is considered to be the best book for aptitude, verbal and non verbal section. For general awareness you can take help from the book Lucent.
Try to keep yourself updated with the latest developments in the field of sports, politics and others.Try to read daily newspapers, this will help you in the long run. And yes practice previous years question papers and remember the time. You should try to solve it in quick time.
