If you want to make your career bright in the Cost Accounting field, then you must have applied for the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants (ICWA) programme. The Institute of Cost Accountants of India conduct examination in three stages,

1. Foundation Course
2. Intermediate course
3. Final Course.

To be eligible for the foundation course, you must have completed your 10th examination from a recognized board as well as complete intermediate (12th) examination from a recognized board.

If you are graduating aspirant other than fine arts, then you are directly eligible for Intermediate course.

Those who have completed the intermediate examination and pass Foundation Course of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India are also eligible to register for Intermediate course conducted by ICAI.

Registration for the ICAI course is open throughout the year. Those who want to appear for June examination should apply before 31st January of that year and for December examination should apply before 31st July of that year.

Note: You must have to enroll for the intermediate course at least 4 months prior to the month of Examination shall be eligible to appear subject to completion of specified training's.

The fees for Intermediate course is Rs 20,000.

You can fill the application form online from the official website of ICWA.

You have to submit graduation degree certificate/mark sheet or any one of the following qualified Mark-sheet to be eligible for Intermediate course.

1. CAT-CMA
2. CMA Foundation
3. CS Foundation
4. IPCC-CA Inter.

ICWAI is the Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India.

It has three levels:

Foundation course.

Intermediate Course

Final course

Being a bachelor's degree candidate, you are directly eligible for the Intermediate course of ICWAI.

You can register for the ICWAI intermediate course at the official website which is https://cmaicmai.in/students/Home.aspx.

For June exam, you need to apply before 31st January of the year and for the December exam, you need to apply before 31st July of the year.

ICWA stands for Institute of Cost and Works Accountants.

ICWA as a course is conducted in three different stages.These stages are;

*Foundation course

*Intermediate Course

*Final Course.

-The minimum age to apply for the ICWA course is 17 years.

-The qualification required for admission in ICWA Foundation Course is 10+2 level degree from a recognized board.Final year student of 12th class can also apply for the Foundation Course.

-The graduate candidate can directly apply for the Intermediate Course directly without applying for the Foundation Course.

-The qualification for ICWA Final Course is the ICWA Intermediate Course.

Registration for the ICWa course is open throughout the year. The candidate who wants to appear for June examination should apply before 31st January of that year and for December examination should apply before 31st July of that year.

Institute of Cost Accountants of India offers C.A course. C.A stands for Chattered Accountant.

There are 3 levels in C.A namely

>>Common Proficiency Test.

>>IPCC

>>Final


To register for CPT, you must have done 12th class from any recognized Indian school.

To register for IPCC, you must have done Commerce graduation with 55% or non commerce graduation with 65% from any recognized Indian institution.

CPT passed candidates can take up this level.

To register for final level, you must have passed IPCC level.

IPCC registration is applicable for two times in a year. You can register accordingly.
