Quote:
The coming era will be “Skilled India”. After 4 or 5 years, the job will be only for those who will have extra + academic knowledge. And this “EXTRA” will be any specialization or skill in a particular field. Basically, there are 3 main academic streams after 12th: Engineering, Science, and Commerce. You can select any of the streams according to your area of interest and percentage basis. If you want to pursue simple graduation; you can also opt for that too. But here, I must suggest you that do it with any specialization. This specialization will complement your academics after 12th which will give you benefit while selecting career filed and in grabbing job of your own choice. Do not select any field just because of any sort of pressure put by others, or just by seeing other fellow mates. Select the path in which you have interest. Remember that it should be skillful and career-oriented. Maths and technology enthusiast students can go for Engineering career that can be done in one among various branches such as Aeronautical, Nautical, Automobile, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Petroleum etc. The construction enthusiast can also go for a Bachelor in Architecture (B.Arch) course. Science devotee can go for career in medical field, nursing, agriculture, fishery, veterinary sciences, pharmaceutical, genetic engineering, bio-technology, microbiology etc., whereas, commerce followers can go for career in Chartered Accountancy, Company secretary, Business Administration courses, etc. Apart from these streams, there are other career fields like in Hospitality Industry, Tourism Industry, and Graduation in any foreign language etc., which have a bright career opportunity in embassies. |
