I am wear a glasses. Will it create problem in joining Indian Army? Am I eligible? Or, do I need to replace my specks with lenses? Which one is allowed? Or, do I need to undergo surgery and get it corrected?

Yes, candidates wearing glasses are eligible for joining Indian Army.

However, there are certain conditions for joining Indian Army if the candidate wears glasses.

• He/she should be able to read 6/6 in a distant vision chart with each eye.
• Myopia should not be more than 3.5D
• Hypermetropia should not be more than 3.5D including Astigmatism

There is no need to undergo any surgery or replace specs with lenses. You just need to check whether you meet standards of Indian Army or not to be fit for joining Indian Army.
