Is IAS and UPSC examination similar?

My name is Shabanu and I have completed M.Sc in Computer Science. Now, am I eligible to apply for IAS examination? Is UPSC and IAS examination same? Or, is it different? If different, then please let me know about the IAS examination syllabus and also share sample model test papers.

UPSC is examination conducting body. It conducts various examination such as NDA, CDS, CAPF, IES, Civil Service etc.

Civil Service is one such examination. It is conducted for selection of candidates as an I.A.S and other officer's.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The age limit is 21-32 years. There is relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category.

So, you are eligible to appear in the examination.

Examination is conducted in three stages. For more information about examination such as to get syllabus and previous year paper visit at www.upsc.gov.in.
