An Institute is UGC/DEC approved but not AICTE approved. After completion anybody a course from that Institute, will he or she appear for Government Service?
Briefly I mean, If I start distance course of B.Tech (Civil) from Pinnacle Institute of Engineering & Management (PIEM) at B/15, Purbayan, Sodepur, Ghola in S 24 pgs in West Bengal, after my copletion will I appear for Government Services? Please suggest me. I am helpless.

I think you are not eligible for government services but you are eligible for private sector . so prepare for private sector ..in this time many jobs are increases day by day
so you will get an option just try

Dear candidate,
If you want to do lecturer job then it is compulsory to do your degree in AICTE approved colleges. some government jobs are allow UGC approved colleges but as per my opinion please do your degree in any AICTE approved college.

Is this degree is equivalent to BE in Civil.

For all those above people...I just contacted IIT Banagaluru about this situtation...And if the Btech Degeree is from UGC but not AICTE you are eligible for writing GATE Examination..

Yes you can easily apply for govt job after passing B.Tech from UGC/DEC.
For can apply for govt job like:-

-ARMY
-NAVY
-AIR FORCE
-I.E.S
etc

Friend NO problem you can apply for Govt. job after passing B.Tech from that institute which in not approve by A.I.C.T.E by approve by U.G.C/D.E.C..

You can apply for job in:-
> Army
> Navy
> Air force
> Railways

I am persuing M.Tech applied Geology (5-year integrated course) from kurukshetra university,now i am in 3rd year and i came to know that my course is UGC approved not AICTE. So i want to know that can i appear for GATE exam,NET exam or UPSC exam and govt. companies like ONGC, COAL INDIA etc.
