The IIT JAM is conducted for Master level Courses. For admission in IIT Roorkee in MCA the candidate will have to give this exam.

To be eligible for this course the candidate must have passed bachelor's degree with Mathematics as subject for one year or in two semesters.

The General and OBC candidates must have passed Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55% marks and

Schedule caste, schedule tribe and physically handicapped candidates must have passed bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

The paper for Computer applications consist of objective type questions only consisting of one correct answer out of 4 options available.

The questions have to be answers by darkening the bubbles in the OMR sheet.

The exam paper consists of 100 questions. 3 marks are awarded for each correct answer.

1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer (multiple answering is also considered as wrong answer) and no marks are deducted for unattempted paper.

The paper is of a total of 300 marks and the time allotted for the paper is 3 hours.
