Hello Sir/Madam,
I am an engineering student doing my third year engineering in ELECTRONICS AND INSTRUMENTAION engineering. I want to doing my P.G in the U.S and I wish to apply for an M.S. For that it seems that I need to take up a GRE examination but i donot have any idea about this examination and how to apply and prepare for this examination. So kindly help me on this

GRE is the Graduate Record examination which is conducted for the
admission in most U.S., Canadian, and UK graduate schools.
This exam is created and administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS).

There are two versions of GRE Test:

GRE General Test, and

GRE Subject Test.


GRE Exam Format
Computer-adaptive test: 3 ¾ hours
Paper-based test: 3 ¾ hours

There are 8 subjects on which GRE test is conducted. These 8 subjects
are
Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology,
Biology,
Chemistry,
Computer Science,
English Literature,
Mathematics,
Physics, and
Psychology.

So you have to study the following subjects for the preparation of GRE
examination.

From august 1st onwards new revised version of GRE test is going to be implemented .It consists of following sections :

1.verbal reasoning: mainly tests about how do you think in your graduate levels and your understanding capacity.

2.quantitative reasoning:mainly emphasis on data interpretation and real life situations and check your quantitative aptitude.

3.analytical reasoning:mainly focuses on the tasks given to you.

I have already given GRE test with 317 score. However, while giving current university I have erroneously entered a wrong university . What is the impact of this error ? How can I rectify the same now ? Will I have to give GRE exam again ?
