PCS - Punjab Civil Services

The PCS is a competitive exam conducted by Punjab Public Service Commission for recruitment for posts such as DSP, Tehsildar, Panchayat Officer and several other posts.

Eligibility Needed:

-> The candidate appearing should have a citizenship in India

-> Age limit needed is 21-27 years and there are relaxation for other category candidates.

-> Educational qualification needed for PCS exam is that candidate should have completed a Bachelor degree from a recognized university and that be from any stream.

-> Even final year appearing candidate can apply for the exam.


Candidates are selected through:

• PCS Prelims
• PCS Main
• Interview

PCS stands for Punjab Civil Service Exam.

Candidate who want to apply for this exam must have a Graduation Degree from a recognized university.And candidate must be citizen of India or a subject of Nepal.

Candidate age should be between 21 years to 38 years.

PCS exam consist of two stages--

1. PCS Prelims Exam
2. PCS Mains Exam

2. Deputy Superintendent of Police
3. Deputy Superintendent of Jail (Grade-II)/District Probation Officer(jails)
