According to me both BCA & B.Sc(IT) are better.
I would suggest you go for B.Sc I.T. Both of the fields are related to Computers & Software Industry. So if you are interested in Computers field then you can opt for any one of them. Both of them are going to provide you with same career opportunities. Both of the courses are offered by almost every university. So you can select any university of your choice. While selecting university & course(B.Sc I.T/BCA) i would suggest you to first have a look at syllabus of each of them. Whichever course provides you with detailed knowledge of computers select it. From career & job point of view both the courses provide you with equivalent opportunities. Also Both of the courses are of same duration. So you can select any one of them. Also after completing your degree it would be better if you complete your P.G.(MCA/M.Sc/MBA). |

Any day BSc. IT is better than BCA, only people belonging to commerce or humanities or non eligible science students should opt for BCA. BSc. will give you more depth of knowledge.

Hi!!!!
If you ask about B.Tech than i will say ofcouse there is a good opportunity and you can be settled anywhere but after BSC IT i do not think so that you can easily setteled and if you get settled after BSC IT any how than in future you will needed any PG in computer science because mostly depends on higher degree in IT companies. So i think better to go for MCA so that you can better settled. with best wishes!!!! |

There are multitude of companies that are accepting B.Sc(IT) candidates. PCS, Wipro, L&T Infotech, Capgemini etc. to name a few.
But to tell you from my personal experience, better opt for M.Sc. or MBA. Companies do take B.SC grads, but in majority of cases, they ask you to sign a bond for 2 or more years, ask you to do a BITS Pilani MS (Which is a 4 years charade, that means you are stuck with that company for 4 years, as you can not continue MS if you leave the company). and do not offer good appraisals. It becomes a problem for switching since, every company wants a post grad. You can always opt for a part-time MBA, while working. If i'm not wrong, even M.Sc(IT) by Mumbai Un. is available with evening lectures....but am not very sure abt tat. Ohh...another imp thing....If you wanna ensure that you do end up with a job after B.Sc, make sure that your aggregate for all 3 years is better than 60%, and b prepared to face a few aptitude exams, thats the first round for all campus int.... All the Best.... |
