All,
KSOU technical courses including B,Tech and M.Tech are not approved by AICTE. DEC (Distance Education Council) had approved these courses until 2013 subjected to many conditions.
As per the latest information updated in the DEC web site,this approval is being with drawn.
There are also serious allegations against KSOU reported in papers by Medical education minister regarding many medical courses which are not approved.
A CID probe is on and if the probe finds violation,the mere existence of KSOU under the Karnataka open univ act itself will be questioned

sir good evening, I am diploma holder and working in govt.sector at kanpur up. now i want do B.Tech.part time or distance mode from KSOU.is its valids for govt. sector and approved from aicte, ugc or dec. Btech is nt AICTE approved Thn after completing my Btech is it matter that i can't do any good job on the basis of Btech or i m applicable for further PG on regular basis???

this diploma is only consider for promotions. Not in a direct recruitment through diploma

* KSOU is recognized by the University Grants Commission.

* It is approved by the Distance Education Council for offering Distance Learning Programs.

* But it is not approved by the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE).

* That means the B.Tech programme is not approved by AICTE as it is a technical education program.
